Xia spent the next morning watching her brother and her friends playing volleyball by the beach. They were having so much fun, Xia wished they could stay like that forever. No drama, just friendship and love. After the game, they were all cooling down on sun loungers and Xia was looking through her phone when it notified her about an article on Jing. She had all of her friends and family on alert so she gets notifications whenever there's news about them.

TENG TANG JING, EXCHANGE STUDENT IN FRANCE, EXPECTED TO WED THIS YEAR

Xia read the heading and her eyes widened. She showed it to Xi Men who was beside her and he immediately sat up and read it out loud.

"Teng Tang Jing, an exchange student, fell in love with the son of the mayor of Paris. They are expected to get married by year-end." Xi Men finished in a questioning tone as he turned to Lei who was beside him. The three boys as well as Shan Cai and Xia looked at him but Lei remained expressionless. This gave Xia the knowledge that he knew of this beforehand.

"Did you know about that?" Ah Si clarified.

"Yes. It's big news in Paris." Lei admitted.

"Is that why you came back?" Xi Men asked.

"Lei, do you not care? Jing's about to marry someone else." Mei Zuo commented.

"Why should I care? Everything's over now." Lei told them and that made Xia understand why he was acting the way he was. He was trying to heal a broken heart. She decided that she was gonna look for him at the beach that night to see if he wanted to talk about it.

Xia looked at the clock and tried to settle her nerves. She decides that now is a good time as any to look for her best friend. She just hopes that he's still by the place she saw him and Shan Cai at yesterday. She went downstairs and entered the beach are just in time to see Lei pulling away from kissing Shan Cai and her brother there to witness the whole thing. She hurriedly walked towards where they were and got there just as Dao Ming Si landed a punch on Lei's face.

"Ahia!" She worriedly called out as she placed a hand on his shoulder and one on his chest, trying to push him away from Lei. Her brother looked at Shan Cai and Xia couldn't help but look at Lei who was on the ground before Ah Si started to move away from them. She moved to follow when Shan Cai grabbed Ah Si's wrist.

"Wait. Listen to me." Shan Cai told him while Xia watched what her brother would do.

"Everything's clear now. What is there to say?" Ah Si asked her.

"No, it's not what it seems like." Shan Cai tried to explain but Ah Si roughly pulled away.

"Don't touch me." He yelled.

"Ahia, please, let's just go." Xia begged him, hugging his side as tears starting to fall from her eyes. She didn't care if she got hurt as long as she could help her brother stop hurting. Lei stood up from his position on the ground.

"Princess" He called out to Xia who just shook her head and wouldn't even look at him.

"Dong Shan Cai, ever since the beginning, I've liked you and only you. But what about you?" Ah Si asked her.
