Xia entered her brother's room to see that he was still in bed.

"Ahia, good morning." She greeted him with a sweet smile.

"Good morning, Meimei." He lazily said.

"It's good that you're taking a sick day and resting. You shouldn't have been discharged so early from the hospital." Xia told him.

"If I get bored, I will be going to school though." He warned her.

"Let's hope it doesn't come to that. Anyways, I just wanted to remind you that mother will be coming home on your birthday. Have you told Shan Cai yet?" She asked him.

"I told Lei to tell her." He said and she nodded.

"Ahia, that would also mean that mother will be officially announcing my engagement to Wang Jin Shun." She reminded him and he stared at her.

"Why do you have to marry that guy anyways?" He asked her.

"It's mother's decision. There's nothing I can do about it." She sadly told him. She then stood up and started walking out her brother's room.

"Oh, Ahia, just so you know. Mei Zuo and I are dating again." She casually told him as she exited the room.

"What? Hey! Dao Ming Xia! Come back here! When did this happen?" He shouted after her but Xia just laughed and ignored her brother's questions.

It was Dao Ming Si's birthday and Xia was busy entertaining the guests with her brother. A tall man suddenly entered and Xia sighed before putting on her brightest smile and walking towards the guy.

"Hello, Jin Shun." Xia formally greeted her fiancé who smiled at her in return.

"It's just Jin, Xia. If we're going to be stuck in this relationship together then the least we can do is be friends." He told her with a kind smile.

Like Xia, Jin Shun did not want to get married. However, because he was the only heir to Wang Industries, his father pressured him to find a worthy bride. He was not at all interested in Xia, in fact, he was already in a happy relationship. Wang Jin Shun was secretly dating his secretary and he was blissfully in love with her. Xia knew of this since their first meeting together and she promised to help the both of them hide their relationship as Jin Shun did not think he could handle the scandal it would cause if his father would disown him for dating someone 'ordinary' and he didn't think he could live without the luxurious lifestyle. Because of this, Jin made a fake persona of being a playboy who only took women out once before dumping them, which kind of reminded Xia of Xi Men.

"Okay, Jin. Welcome back to Shanghai by the way." She said as she kissed his cheek. He smiled at her and placed an arm around her waist. Xia led him to where her brother was chatting with a politician's daughter. Said girl was getting too close to Ah Si and Xia could tell he was annoyed. She butts in to interrupt.

"Excuse me, may I borrow my Ahia for a minute?" She asked with a smile, her eyes on the girl. The girl turned to her with annoyed eyes before realizing who she was. She bowed and hurriedly walked away.

"Ahh, thank you, Meimei. You are my savior." Ah Si gratefully said as he pulled her to his side. She laughed softly and turned her brother to face the person she had brought with her.
