Xia was sitting at the bookcase stairs of the bridge room, going through her phone when Lei and Shan Cai walked in, holding hands. She stood up and stood in between Xi Men and Mei Zuo and behind her brother who was seated.

"Shan Cai. Welcome to the Bridge Room and to the two-on-two competition against the Dao Ming siblings. Did Hua Ze Lei explain the rules to you?" Xi Men stated and with the mention of Xia playing against them, Hua Ze Lei looked at her but she avoided his gaze. Shan Cai just nodded at Xi Men's question.

"Do you plan to hold hands while playing Bridge?" Ah Si asked them both which caused them to let go of each other's hands.

"Ah Si will play with Xia and Shan Cai with Lei. The two teams will take turns dealing. Six tricks will be added to the card they have called. Win the number you bid or more, and you win the game. Otherwise, you lose. Are we clear?" Xi Men asked.

"Yes." Shan Cai answered.

"Please have a seat." Xi Men invited and Xia walked to take the seat across her brother while Mei Zuo followed to pull the chair out for her.

"Good luck, Princess. You know what to do." Mei Zuo whispered as he kissed the side of her head and she just nodded and smiled, looking at her brother.

"Hey, Mei Zuo, get away from my sister. Stop distracting her." Ah Si ordered which made Mei Zuo laugh as he moved to stand next to Xi Men.

"You know what's at stake, right?" Ah Si asked them.

"Don't we all?" Shan Cai replied.

"What's at stake here?" Dao Ming Si retorted.

"Shan Cai, tell them." Lei requested.

"What's at stake is that if I win, you have to forgive me." Shan Cai admitted.

"Is it that important to you?" Ah Si asked her.

"Yes." Shan Cai stated with conviction.

"From what I can see, you just want to be free from guilt when you're in a relationship with Lei." Ah Si accused.

"Maybe." Shan Cai answered.

"Then I definitely refuse to lose. What if I win?" Ah Si asked again.

"Then I won't see Shan Cai again." Lei spoke up this time.

"You said that on your own accord." Ah Si reminded him.

"Yes, I did. But I might not lose, right?" Lei asked, smiling at Shan Cai who nodded at him.

"All right. Let the competition begin." Mei Zuo said as he and Xi Men shuffled the cards.

"Please check your cards." Xi Men told the players.

"Shan Cai, you can call your card first." Xi Men told her.

"One of Hearts." Shan Cai started.

"One of Spades." Xia countered.

"Three of Hearts." Lei followed.

"Four of Clubs." Ah Si called. After that round, Shan Cai, Xia and Lei all passed their turns.

"The trump suit is clubs. Hua Ze Lei, please proceed." Mei Zuo said. Lei played the Ten of Hearts.

"Shan Cai, Lei made a mistake. He thinks that you have the Ace of Hearts. That's why he played the Hearts suit. He wants you to win the first trick. Actually, the Ace of Hearts is with me. It looks like your plan is not going to work." Ah Si taunted as he placed down the Ace of Hearts card. Shan Cai placed a Two of clubs down and Xia placed a Six of Hearts.
