TWO DAYS. DALAWANG ARAW ng may lagnat si Havanna, and I can't help but to worry. Kapag minsan ay bumababa ang lagnat niya, kalaunan ay tataas. I even call our family doctor to check her. She told me that she'll be fine. I just need to wait and give her proper medication.

Noong araw ding yun ay napanood ko nga sa balita, nabasa ko sa mga pahayagan at nakita ko sa social media ang nangyari sa kompanya ng mga Chua. It is not yet enough. They will soon meet hell. Sila na mismo ang maglalapit sa sarili nila sa impernyo. That is for messing up with my property. They should thank me for not killing their Heir, and for just burning their smallest company. But, the next time they'll mess up with me again, they'll be dealing with demons.

Nandito ako ngayon sa office ko, but not to work. I'm here to get something. May kinuha akong personal nurse para bantayan si Havanna doon sa unit niya habang wala ako.

I was about to step out of the door when I heard annoying voices.

"Woah! Nandito si baby Zhyadee! Zup!"

I frowned the moment I saw their annoying faces.

"What the hell are you doing here? Aren't you busy with your life?" I asked.

Ruzzel just roll his eyes and sat on the couch.

"We're on leave. Pagkatapos ng pagpapasabog na naganap. Ofcourse, we need to leave work and have a celebretion! Yehey!" Ani Ruzzel na hindi naman halatang sobrang saya.

May mga dala silang beer at kung anu-ano. Ako naman ang napairap at tinignan sila isa-isa na nakangisi.

"I can't, today. Sa ibang araw nalang, I have something to do."

Inirapan lang nila ako at sabay-sabay nagsalita na parang mga bubuyog.

"Woah?! Narinig niyo yun?! May gagawin daw siya?! Deeemmmm!"

"I really have something to do. Havanna  is—"

"What?! I met Havanna, Zhayden?! Ilang araw lang ang nakakalipas!"

At ayun, sabay-sabay nanaman silang nagsalita na parang bubuyog.

"Stop! Can you talk one by one. Okay, start with the oldest!"

Umupo ako sa swivel chair ko at hinilot ang sentido ko dahil sa mga nakakabwiset nilang presensya!

Colton roll his eyes to Simon and start talking.

"I saw Havanna, Zhayden. Did you already meet her?"

"Me too! I met her already! We even had a conversation. What really happened, Zhayden? Mag-aalala na ba kami?"

"I met her too, last month, I think. I can't tell it to you because I thought you already met. We're hoping that you're in good terms." ani Milo ng may seryosong mukha.

I let go a deep sigh and close my eyes. She already met them? Bakit hindi niya sinabi saakin?

'She hates you right?, jerk!' Sigaw ng utak ko.

"Woah—"

"What?!" Singhal ng lahat kay Ruzzel.

"Deeeemm. My eardrums will be damage because of you, guys!" Sigaw ng bunso namin. Tch, bente syete na yan para maging bunso. "I— they met Havanna, man—what the heck?! When?! Just when?! Lahat kayo?! Eh bakit hindi ko siya nakita! Am I being outdated again?! You're unfair!" Pagmamaktol nito pero inambahan lang siya ng suntok ni Colton.

"Zhaydee, care to tell us? We're waiting."

"I'm sorry. Not now. I'll tell you once I'm ready to. I'm happy that you met her—"

"Pero ako hin—"

Tinignan ko ng masama si Ruzzel dahilan para ngumuso siya. What the hell?!

"Fuck you, man. Bakla ka talaga!" Bulyaw ko kay Ruzzel na nakanguso pa rin, pero inirapan niya lang ako.

Nagpaalam ako sakanila at umalis na.

PAGKARATING KO SA UNIT ni Havanna ay pinaalis ko na yung nurse na binilin kong magbantay sakanya.

Nagpalit ako ng pambahay na damit at tsaka pumasok sa kwarto ni Havanna. She's still sleeping, and I can hear how she breath hard. Nahihirapan siyang huminga dahil sa nakabarang plema.

Lumapit ako sa kama niya at umupo sa tabi niya. I kiss her forehead, then I fix her pillow and comforter.

"Hey, hon. I hope tomorrow, you'll feel better so that we'll burn to hell that Lian Chua. Their company, money, and all are on the way to go down already. It's their fault, honey." Hinaplos ko ang pisngi niya at hinawakan ang mainit niyang palad tsaka  mahina itong pinipisil-pisil.

Napatitig ako sa labi niya. Maputla ngunit nang-aakit. Ilang beses akong napalunok habang nakatitig sa labi niya. Hanggang sa dahan-dahan akong yumuko at dinikit ang labi ko sa labi niya. Limang segundo lang iyon dahil baka magising siya.

"I just met my friends, our friends, Hon. Why didn't you tell me that you already saw them? Did they ask too much questions? Don't worry, sasapakin ko si Ruzzel." At bahagya akong tumawa.

Maya-maya ay dahan-dahan niyang iminulat ang mga mata niya.

"Z-Zhayden.. n-nagugut-tom a-ako..." namamaos na aniya.

"Wait me then, magluluto ako ng mainit na sopas. After that, you'll take medicine, okay?"

Dahan-dahan siyang tumango kaya ngumiti ako.

Nagtungo naman agad ako sa baba at nagluto ng sopas. Maya-maya ay nag-ring ang cellphone ko.

Ellington Calling...

"What?" Naiiritang sagot ko.

[[ "Are you with Nana, by the way? Don't lie, Zhayden." ]]

"Tch. Don't call her like that, It's irritating my damn ears. And yes, we're together. Got a problem?"

[[ "But I love to call her like that, you don't have no choice. And why the hell are you together? Dapat bang nagsasama ang boss at employee?" ]]

How the hell did he know?

"We're husband and wife, Ellington. So you don't care. Thank you by the way for the last time, but, I won't entertain you right now. I hate the way you talk."

[[ "Are you scared, Zhayden? That I might take her away? I may not know what really happened many years ago. But I assure you, I'm going to find out what happpened, little by little. You're welcome, by the way. ]]

Ngumisi ako sa nagtaas ng kilay.

"We'll see, Ellington. I'm scared but not for myself. It's for you, that you might loose again against me in her heart. We know who she really loves. Just cut it off, Ellington. Just find another woman because I will still fight for her. For me, there's no blood is thicker than water, when it comes to her, Ellington. Don't waste your life by risking it into a war without any armor. We've been friends for almost two decades. But I can unfriend you in my life for just a day. Ayoko ko ng balikan ang nakaraan, so please, limit yourself."

Narinig ko siyang tumawa kaya napangiwi ako.

"Nagbibiro lang ako, Leighton. Huwag mong damdamin. Just say hello to her for me. And don't worry, I'm already looking for her, the right one."

"Tch. Your jokes are not really funny, Ellington. And, goodluck on finding her. It will be hard, but it will be worth it once you find her. Trust me."

Then. I ended the call.
