“If I’m addicted to loving you and you’re addicted to my love too.”
If it’s love ~by Train

As I get down from the taxi and walk into the compound, I see Hadid and Wesley walking out together. I pause and curiously look stare at them and I wonder what had happened in my absence to make these two put their differences aside and walk together.

Hadid who’s wearing a blue sweater and brown jeans is the first to catch sight of me. His eyes brighten and he runs over to where I stand. “Avril, I’m so sorry for all I said yesterday, I didn’t mean any of it and I’ve been feeling horrible for saying them to you.”

I smile a little at him before saying, “It’s too cold outside, Hadid, and this sundress isn’t helping.”

In an instant, he takes my hand and leads me inside. Once inside and the door is closed, he speaks. “Sorry about that and -“

I pull off the leather black trench coat I had on and hang it beside the door and drop the little handbag containing my last night’s clothes beside the washing machine before going to the kitchen to get a milkshake, “Hadid I’m not mad at you for saying what you said, you were just saying your truth so it’s all forgiven.”

He follows me behind, “Wesley told me you went to a bar, got drunk and you left with Luke last night.” There was much confusion and pain as he says this out loud.

I understand where he’s coming from because if we haven’t fallen out I probably would never have decided to get drunk to ease my pain so he’s blaming himself.

I turn to Wesley, who is at the kitchen door, and he helplessly shrugs before muttering, “He has his ways of making me tell the truth.” Under his breath.

I sigh in remorse as I bring out the milkshake from the fridge and pick cookie on the counter, “Well that is true, I got drunk, it was not the best decision, but I did it and I spent the night with Luke, but be rest assured that nothing happened.”

“Nothing happened?!” Wesley exclaims, “Was his dick not big enough because from what I saw the two of you wanted to screw each other, but couldn’t say it out loud.”

I gasp at his forwardness and wonder if we were that readable or if he was just good, “We did and we still do. He just wants it to feel special for both of us. He wants to wait for me.”

“He’s amazing.” Wesley helplessly blurts outs and Hadid gives him a funny look. “What?” He demands, “It’s true, plus he’s hot. Give me a man like that and we would never tire of doing it.” He wiggles his brows at Hadid and bites his lips, but Hadid glares at him and turns to me.

“Maybe he’s doing the right thing.”

I walk to the parlour and take a seat on the armchair “I know he is. I made him a promise to come to him when all this is over, but what if I’m too damaged in the end? What if I’m no longer good for him?”

“He loves you and unless he tells you otherwise, that’s all that matters”

“I love him too.”

I bite down on my cookie and take a sip of the milkshake. It’s not the best combination of food and I knew that even before I took them and so does Hadid.

“I should get you a hot chocolate, milkshake has never been your favourite,” Hadid tells me, taking the milkshake from me and walking off to the kitchen.

“Sure, thanks,” I reply gratefully because yet again, he’s right.

Once Hadid is out of the room, I turn to Wesley who’s now standing with his arms crossed over his chest.
