Chapter Eighteen

I woke up hearing voices. Arms were wrapped around me and my hands lay on Soda's chest. I slept with pajama pants and my Cola shirt on. I laid on my right side and I acted as if I was asleep as I listened to the conversation others had.

"Did ya have 'fun' last night?" I could tell it was Two-bit. He chuckled historically like it'd been the funniest thing in the world.

"Shut up, Two-bit! Summer's still sleeping!" It was a soft voice. I could tell it was Soda.

"So you did?" Two-bit asked laughing.

"Look smart alec! Nothing happened! Now shut up and go watch Mickey Mouse! I heard another marathon was on today," Soda snapped quietly. I could here Two-bit rush into the other room at the words 'Mickey Mouse'. A chin rested on my head and a smiled slightly. "You're not asleep... Are ya?" He asked. I could hear his smile.

"Nope," I giggled.

"Sorry Two's big mouth woke ya up!" Soda apologized.

"I woke up on my own," I murmured. "Plus, Two-bit isn't that bad when it comes to talking..." I added. I opened an eye and peeked up at him

"Oh, now you're gonna stick up for good ol' Two, are ya?" He asked looking down at me with a smile.

"I'm sure you'd do the same," I said softly with a smile. I knew he couldn't disagree... Because that statement was true. He just opened his mouth speechless. I snuggled up to him and intertwined my legs with his. I closed my eyes with a sigh. He kissed my forehead and I smiled.

"You're so adorable," he said looking down at me.

"Yeah right," I snorted rolling my eyes. I soon got comfortable and fell asleep again.

"Hey! Hey, sleepy bones!" A voice whisper yelled. A warm hand shook my shoulder aggressively.

I stretched will a yawn and sat up. I rubbed my eyes. Soda stared right at me with a smile. "What?" I yawned.

"Hey sleeping beauty! It's time to get up, it's one o' clock in the afternoon!" Soda explained with a chuckle.

"Why did you let me sleep on that late?" I asked groggily. I was still tired.

"You seemed tired," he shrugged. "Now get up!" He chuckled. He smirked, I knew he had a plan.

"What?" I asked curiously. He suddenly pinned me down and started to tickle me. "No!" I giggled. Soda tickled around my ribcage. "Stop! Stop!" I laughed. "Let me up!" I said in between laughs.

"Fine!" Sodapop laughed before kissing my forehead. I sat up with a smile and got up. "By the way I washed your clothes, grabbed you a towel, laid out some clean clothes for ya, and set your hair brush on the sink," he smiled.

I smirked, "You know me too well."

"Summer Rose Cade, I couldn't know ya better," he smiled. That was true... He knew pretty much everything about me. Except the voices inside my head. But he knew everything else... He knew my grandpa died when I was ten, my grandma live in Illinois, my dad went missing after Johnny died, my step mom just ignores me, Soda is my second boyfriend, and so much more... I trotted into the bathroom and took a shower, got dressed, and brushed my hair. I exited the bathroom and Soda was on the phone.

"Summer," he started as he turned to me.

"What is it my love?" I asked.

"Your mother is in the hospital. And I have one question... Isn't she supposed to be clean during this pregnancy?" He asked as if I knew something about this. "You have a new kid sister!" Soda exclaimed. I couldn't let this happen. I couldn't let my mom take is my kid sister. She could be killed.

I nodded, "Let them know I'm on my way!"
