I started to climb the metal fence to get into the movies. I jumped over the rest of the way and my shoes smacked against the pavement. The fence rattled loudly as Soda and Two-bit climbed over after me. I quickly raced over to the seats for the movie and sat down.

"Hey I'm gonna wander, k?" Two-bit said walking off.

"Alright!" Soda grunted as he sat down next to me. "Wanna coke or a popcorn..." He asked.

"No..." I said calmly shaking my head. The movie started and the sun disappeared, I began to shiver slightly. It couldn't have been more than 50°F outside...

Soda slid off his jacket and wrapped it around me. "Here..." He whispered with a smile.

I stuttered, "B-but aren't you going to be cold, too?"

"Nah.. I'll be fine!" Soda said.

"Here... Take your jacket!" I insisted starting to take his jacket off.

"No, no, no...!" Soda frowned. He zipped the jacket up just below my neck... It was slightly big.

"You just won't give in, will ya?" I asked with a smirk.

"Nah..." A wide goofy grin spread across his face as he replied. I looked into his blue eyes, amazed... He was gorgeous... An absolute angel...

     "Hey Soda..." I started.

The teen perked up curiously. "Hm?"

"Remember that sunset that was a tangerine orange... And the trees were fading into yellows, oranges, and browns...?" I asked smiling... I remembered a pure as day unlike other memories.

"The one that was one in a lifetime? I remember..." Soda smiled. "Man was that beautiful!" He sighed. He smirked and lifted my chin. "Like you..." His face turned a cherry red the moment he said those two words.

I couldn't help but to blush just as he did. "Why do you look at me in ways nobody else does?" I asked curious.

"Well, there's this gleam in your eyes that make your ocean blue eyes shine... Your curly chocolate brown hair, you have the best bone structure... You're pure beauty..." Soda explained with a large smile.

"We both know you're lying..." I said softly with a frown. My thoughts were fighting my positive side... I didn't know why, it has been going on ever since my mom started on drugs, at the age of eight.

"That's only what YOU THINK..." Soda smiled. I didn't know why a was falling in love with him... Yeah he was charming, handsome, goofy, he could make anyone smile... He. Was. Perfect.

"And what do you think?" I asked him. I stared at the ground waiting for a reply.

I heard his goofy grin. "Too much..." He said cheerfully.

I shoved Soda's shoulder playfully. "Ya big flirt!" I giggled.

Soda smirked, at the moment he seemed speechless. "Hey, do you wanna hang out sometime?" He asked with a smile.

"Well, aren't we hangin' out right now?" I asked. I twisted his words in a friend-like way.

"I mean, alone..." Soda said. He leaned forward on to his knees.

"We are alone..." I smirked kicking my feet up on to the back of another chair.

     "Dang you're stubborn..." He smiled.

"Yes I am..." I smiled. "So what ARE you tryin' to say, Sodapop Patrick Curtis?" I asked budging him.

"Don't use my middle name!" He huffed with a laugh.

     "Off topic!!! Stalling!!!" I chuckled.

Soda shrugged nervously. "What I'm trying to say is... Summer Cade, will you go out with me?" He asked hesitantly.

"Why, lemme think... Yes!" I laughed.
