After I got off school I rushed to my mom's house quickly. I opened the door warily, not home... I let out a sigh of relief and went upstairs. I opened the closet and randomly grabbed some outfits. I grabbed my best two dresses, a few shirts, a couple pairs of shorts, a few pairs of pants, and five pair of socks. I also snatched my "Coca-Cola" shirt and a pair of pajama pants. I quickly stuffed them in a basket and rushed downstairs, out of the house. I sprinted into the other side of the neighborhood and into the Curtis house. I dropped the basket beside the couch and dug through my clothes until I found my red velvet dress. This was the day. Soda was finally going to take me out onto a real date. I quickly rushed into the bathroom and got dressed. I slid my tan boots on and looked in the mirror. At least it sorta matched? I quickly put my hair up in a ponytail and rushed out of the restroom. I heard a loud whistle as I looked up. I rolled my eyes at Two-bit. "Shut up!" I chuckled.

"Ya goin' somewhere special, doll?" Two-bit asked raising an eyebrow.

"One; Don't call me doll! Two; Yes, I am going somewhere! On a date!" I replied with a slight snarl.

"Already, Summer? It's only been about three weeks since you and Soda started dating!" Two-bit exclaimed playfully and sarcastically.

I rolled my eyes. "Whatever," I chuckled. I huffed, "I can't help being in the hospital for about two of those three weeks!" I heard foot steps trot out one of the bedrooms.

"Why you're lookin' beautiful!" Soda smiled walking over to me. He wrapped his arms around my waist and slightly swayed his body to and fro.

I could tell I was blushing. "Stop it! I'm ugly and you know it!" I said looking at the ground. He lifted my chin and my gaze met his.

"You're lying to yourself, love bug. You're beautiful, even when you aren't dressed up. I'm so thankful that you are mine," Soda explained with a huge goofy grin.

I scoffed, "You're too cute to disagree with!" I smiled and pecked his cheek.

"Oh really?" He asked with a huge smirk.

"Mhm," I nodded smoothly. He took my hand and led me outside. He opened the car door for me as I got in. As Soda jumped in the car I chuckled. "Are ya turning into a gentleman?" I asked with a giggle.

"I'll be your gentleman any day," Soda smiled charmingly.

I shoved his shoulder playfully. "Just shut up and drive!" I giggled. He smiled goofily and popped his Elvis Presley CD in.

     "I love you," he said.

"I love you too," I smiled.
