Lauren's Pov

We're sitting at the table with my family and my parents business partners.

"Ughh I thought this dinner is supposed to be family only" Chris groans besides me.

"Yeah I thought so too. Why are they here" I whispered

"Dad invited them" Taylor said while typing something on her phone.

I pulled mine from my pocket and sent a text to Camila.

Hi! Did you get home safe?

I lay my phone on the table so i could see if she texted back.

"So Lauren, are you ready for next week?" One of dad's business partner asked me.

I looked at him confused.
"I'm sorry. What's next week?" I asked looking at my dad.

Chris and Taylor looked confused also. 'What's happening?' I mouthed to Chris and he just shrugged his shoulder.

"Next week you will start your training in my office." Dad said.

"So when you take over the family business you'll be ready" Mom said smiling at me.

"Wh-what?! I'm not ready to handle that! I'm only 20 and I'm still in school" i said almost shouting.

"That's why we'll train you next week. So you'll learn everything you need to learn" Dad said looking at me seriously.

"Just think about it, honey" Mom said and i felt Taylor's hand hold mine.

I relaxed "Fine, I'll think about it" i said while relaxing my body.

Our food had arrived and I'm not feeling hungry. I saw my phone lit up and smiled when i saw the her name.

I put my phone in my pocket. My appetite is back and I ate my dinner smiling.

"Someone's happy" Chris said whispering at me.

"Shut up" I said giggling

"I shall meet her soon" He said and winked at me.
