Not so secret anymore

Camila's Pov

I was walking to my car when I heard a car honking.

"Mila! Let's go" Shawn yelled with his head popping out of the car window. I looked at him confused.

"Just get in the car, kiddo!" He said and i smiled.

Wow he was not kidding when he said nothing's changed between us..

We went to class together and sat down with our group.

Where is she?

I was looking around for Lauren when the professor entered the room.

After a few discussions, i checked my watch.

She's already 30mins late.

Pulled out my phone from my pocket

Are you okay?

I know you're reading my texts.. answer me!

I was about to send another text when Dinah held my arm and leaned in.

"She's not coming" she whispered and I frowned.

"Why?" I whispered back

"She uhh dropped all of her subjects this morning. Maybe she's not coming back here" Dinah said

"What?!!" I jumped in my seat and realized all eyes are on me.

"Miss Cabello? Is there a problem?" Mr. Johnson said glaring at me.

"Uhh nothing sir.. i'm sorry" i said sitting back down.

It was lunch time and i keep calling Lauren but it was all straight to voicemail.

What's up with her... she's driving me crazy.

"You should eat something" Shawn said taking a seat beside me.

"I'm fine" i said staring at my phone.

"She's fine. I know she is. She'll talk to you when she's ready" Shawn said smiling at me.

What did I do? I didn't even know if i did something wrong.

"How do you know?" I asked Shawn while taking some of his fries.

"Duhh.. she's my bestfriend. I know her" Shawn said slapping my hand when i reached out for some fries.

"Mine! Go get your own missy"

"Uggh... fine asshole" i said laughing.

When I got home I saw my mom on the couch watching netflix and drinking her tea.

"How was school?" She asked her eyes still glued to what she was watching.

"It was fine" i said placing a kiss on her head.

"Tell your friends dinner's at 7 on Friday" she said and I nodded

"Now go freshen up and come down for dinner"

After dinner, we decided to watch a couple episodes of Riverdale. I was a Choni fan of course, while my mom was a bughead supporter. It was getting late so we decided to get ready for bed. I was sitting on my desk listening to music when i heard my phone ringing.
