Ringing...
Hello?
Finally, after calling her 2 days straight she finally answered.
"Hi..uhmm am I bothering you?"
I asked Hailee while i'm playing with my guitar strings
"Oh no.. its fine"
"So.. I was thinking of asking you out tonight.. uhh are you free?"
"Oh yeah sure..Of course"
"Great.. i'll uhh pick you up at 7. Is that good?
"Can you uhh pick me up at 8?"
"Yeah.. see you at 8"
"See you"
...Call Ended...
I'm not feeling nervous anymore. Actually i'm doubting my feelings for her. I asked her out just to figure my feelings out.
Hope this date goes well..
"You're going out on a date?" Mom said walking closer to me.
"Were you listening?" I asked my mom and she laughed.
"Not the whole conversation sweetie"
"Glad you guys are back"
I'm not upset that my parents are always gone on their business trip. They're the kind of parent that checks up on you every hour to make sure you're okay.
"Yeah and we'll leave again next week..Paris" she said and I nodded
"So... is it Camila?" She asked and I shook my head no.
"What happened to Camila?" She said sitting down on my bed.
"We're just friends"
"But you don't look at her like she's just your friend"
"Okay.." I sighed. "I liked her when I first met her but we decided to just stay friends" I said and she nodded.
"Too bad.. I like her tho" she said standing up and walking towards the door.
"Who doesn't?" I said and she smiled closing the door.
I took Hailee to a fine dining restaurant and it was... awkward. She was quiet the whole time. Everytime I ask her a question she only answers with two to three words.
After our dinner we went to my movie theater. We were watching maze runner and eating popcorn and pizza when her phone buzzed. After checking her phone she immediately shoved it in her pocket.
"Are you okay?" I asked. She looks bored.
"I'm fine.. I just uhh I got to go" she said and i felt disappointed.
"But its still early" i said and she was already standing.
"I know.. i'm so sorry Shawn" she said and I lost it.
