Camila's Pov

"Why can't I think of anything!" i groaned throwing my notebook on the ground.

"Relax.. " Shawn said giggling at me.

"Its so hard" I whined taking a slice of pizza on the table.

We're in my living room working on our song. We made a deal that I was gonna write the song and Shawn's in charge of the melody.

"I can't do it.." I said shaking my head no.

"Yes you can.. Its not that hard" Shawn said pinching my nose.

"I don't even know where to begin" I grabbed my notebook on the floor.

"Just put yourself in the situation.. Like uhh imagine Lauren cheating on you" Shawn said drinking his soda.

I imagined Lauren cheating on me with another girl and I didn't like it.

"So what do you feel?" Shawn asked while strumming his guitar.

"Betrayed, upset, angry, sad, disappointed.." I said looking down.

"Well there you go" Shawn said and I furrowed my brows.

"Okay how about this.. You write your verses and I'll write mine then we put them together" Shawn said tearing a paper from my notebook.

"Yeah that's good.." I said nodding "how about you write what you feel cheating on me and I'll write what it feels to be cheated on.. It's like telling a story" I said and he slow clapped.

"Wow.. that's genius" Shawn said smiling at me while clapping his hands.

"Thank youu" I said bowing down.

"Except.. Let's make you the cheater." He said.

"Hell no..uhh uhh not gonna happen" I said

"Oh come on.. people always assume that guys are one who's cheating in the relationship.. It'll  give them something new." Shawn said and I smiled.

"That is a great idea" I said smiling.

I was having a hard time writing my lyrics. I can't find the right words and rhymes. I was writing, erasing and throwing crumpled paper on the floor.

"Oh so serious"

Shawn and I both looked up and saw my mom standing at the door.

"Hi Ms. Cabello" Shawn said smiling at my mom.

"Hi Shawn.. what are you guys doing?" She asked walking to us.

"We we're writing a song.. Its for class" I said and she nodded.

"Then I'll leave you guys to it.. Good luck" Mom said walking to the kitchen.

"Thanks Ms. Cabello.." Shawn yelled.

"Call me Sinu!" Mom yelled from the kitchen.

"Your mom's cool" Shawn said and I nodded.

We went back to work and I was almost finished when my phone buzzed.

"So are you going?" Shawn asked looking at me.

"Of course..you?" I asked and he nodded.

"Its gonna be fun.. you should invite Hailee" I said and he smiled.

"I'm done" Shawn said tossing his  pen on the table.

"Already?! I'm almost finished.." I said and he nodded.

"I have to go.. I'm taking James out to dinner" He said and I nodded.

"We'll arrange the lyrics and verses next time" He said grabbing his guitar.

"Bye Shawn.. see you tomorrow!" I said he smiled and left.

I was still on the couch writing lyrics. I finished my verse but I was not satisfied with some parts so I replaced it with a better one.

"Honey?" Mom said walking down the stairs.

"Hi mom.." I said smiling at her.

"Its late.. you should rest" she said sitting next to me.

"I don't think this is IT" I said showing her the verse.

Mom read my work and she smiled.

"Wow.. this is good.. I mean really good." She said hugging me.

"I didn't know you can write a song" she said looking at me.

I smiled "Shawn helped me"

"Well.. this is good.. now get some sleep" she said kissing my head and went back to her room.

I cleaned up the living room and went to my room. I jumped on the bed and pulled my phone out of my pocket.

I was proud of myself when I finished my first verse. It feels so good writing your emotions. Now I know why Shawn loves writing a song.
