Renée's P. O. V.

"Does this look okay for an interview?" I pointed my phone at the full body mirror in Zach's room. I was using it so I could show Haleigh on facetime.

I was wearing black jeans, a cream shirt, and a white blazer.

"You look beautiful, Renée," Zach walked into his room in just his jeans, no shirt.

"Thanks Zach." I made wide eyes at the camera and Haleigh's jaw had dropped.

I had lived here for five days and every day Zach called me beautiful at least once. I remembered what Daniel said about him being a ladies man, so I stopped thinking too hard about it. Daniel and I had gotten closer, too. It seemed like as soon as Zach got back from work, Daniel left, so I just switched who I hung out with.

Daniel and I had a lot more intimate conversations. We seemed to connect more as friends. There was definitely some tension between Zach and I. I wasn't really sure. I just felt different around him than with Daniel.

"He's right, you look beautiful," Haleigh said.

"Oh shit, I didn't know you were on the phone." Zach laughed.

"It's my best friend, Haleigh." He walked up behind me.

"Ohhh. Hi Haleigh!" Zach waved to the camera, putting his hand on my waist.

"Hi Zach!" She waved back.

"Thanks for letting me use your mirror Zach." I stepped away from him and turned around.

"Yeah of course. I just need to put a shirt on and then we can leave."

"Okay cool. I'll talk to you later Haleigh."

"Bye!" I hung up and went to Daniel's room.

"Hey, Zach and I are about to leave," I said peeking my head through the open door.

"Okay." He was sitting on his bed drawing on a sketchpad.

"What are you working on?" I asked.

"Nothing yet." He chuckled.

"I'd love to see some of your paintings sometime."

"As long as I get to see your photographs." He smiled.

"Deal." I smiled before waving and walking out.

"Ready?" Zach asked.

"I think so." I took a deep breath.

"Renée, you're basically already hired. Don't worry."

"Okay." I breathed again. Zach chuckled and grabbed my hand.

"Let's go." He pulled me towards the window.

"I didn't think this through. Metal stairs and heels aren't the best idea."

"I'll help you," Zach said. He wrapped his arm around my waist and helped me walk down the stairs.

"Thank you." I stepped away from him a little.
