Renée's P. O. V.

"Renée!" My head turned and I saw the blonde I had missed more than I had missed anything in my whole life.

"Haleigh!" I ran towards her and jumped into her arms. We hugged and hugged for what felt like forever. When we finally pulled away, we both had tears on our faces.

"I've missed you so much," she said, hugging me again.

"I've missed you more." I squeezed her tight.

"Okay, let me in." I turned and saw Mason waiting patiently.

I went to him and wrapped my arms around his neck, hugging him super tight.

"Thank you so much for letting me stay with you," I whispered.

"Of course. Sammy misses you."

"I miss him more." I chuckled.

"Okay, so Mason will take you home and you can get settled in. I have work in a little bit, but after that we can go out for lunch or something," Haleigh said.

"You have to work?" I pouted.

"This is the only day, I promise."

"Ugh okay." I hugged Haleigh again before she left us. Mason and I went to find my luggage, then went out to his car.

"How has school been?" I asked. Mason was studying to be a a biology teacher.

"Pretty good. It's not as hard as I thought it'd be, so that's good."

"Yeah, I like only going a few times a week."

"Me too. And the equipment is amazing. We've done so many cool labs. What about you?"

"My classes are pretty cool. I love getting to use their camera equipment."

We talked about work and living in Oregon and things like that. Soon we were pulling into his driveway.

We walked inside and his boxer dog came and jumped up on me.

"Sammy!" I exclaimed. Sam was their boxer pup, except not a pup anymore. I called him Sammy because the name is adorable. He's about six months old now, and I loved him to death. I scratched behind his ears and pet all over him while he licked my face.

"Haleigh is that you- oh Renée!" Mason's mom, Teresa, walked into the front hallway. I stood up and went to hug her. Mason came in with my bags.

"It's been so long, oh you're all grown up!" Teresa said, hugging me tight. Mason and I had been friends since we were five. I used to come over all the time, but when we met Haleigh we always went to her place.

"I've missed this house. How's Paige?" I asked.

"She's in her room. Go say hi, Mason will take your bags upstairs."

"Thanks Ms. Paul." I smiled and walked to the back of the house to Paige's room. Mason followed me with my bags, but he went to the guest room. Sammy was also following, trotting along next to me.
