Renée's P. O. V.

My plane just landed in Portland. I gathered my stuff, waiting for the young couple to exit the aisle, then walked towards the door.

I went to the baggage claim area and grabbed my suitcase, then I started walking outside. I had an uber waiting for me, so I got in and they drove me to the ArtHouse.

Once I got there, I dropped my stuff off in my studio and went down to the guys studio. I knocked on the door and Daniel opened it with a smile.

He pulled me into the studio and hugged me.

"How are you?" He asked.

"I'm good. You?"

"Fine. How was Thanksgiving?"

"It was fun, I missed Haleigh's family. And Mason's."

"Yeah."

"Is Zach back?"

"No, his flight gets in tonight."

"Oh okay. So I guess it's just us."

"Yeah, I bet you're tired though."

"Yeah, a little. But I have to talk to you."

"Oh, okay." We walked to the couch and sat down. I turned to face him and crossed my legs.

"So I talked to Mason and Haleigh."

"Mhm."

"Haleigh doesn't necessarily agree, but Mason thinks going to see my mom is amazing."

"He does?"

"Yeah, he agrees with you and thinks I should see her and talk to her."

"I guess we should start planning then."

"Yeah, but I was thinking. What if we flew there, and drove back? Because I wanna get there as quick as possible, but I still wanna go on a road trip."

"I'm fine with that. When's her event?"

"The thirteenth."

"When do you take your last final?"

"The eleventh. My class should end at three."

"Okay, mine's in the morning that day."

"Do we have the money to go?"

"I told you we'd be fine. And I talked to my mom she's more than happy to help. As long as we get her a signed book." We laughed.

"So I guess we're doing this?"

"Yeah. I'll buy the tickets and take care of everything."

"How many days do you think it'll take?" I asked. He pulled out his phone and searched something.

"So we go through nine states. We could stay the night in Boston, then we could drive into one state every day and stay the night in that state. So probably ten days."
