Zach's P. O. V.

"Hey Zach." I turned away from the tv and saw Mason walking into the den.

"Hey, what's up?" I asked, pausing the tv.

"You watching Friends?" He chuckled.

"Yeah, Paige got me hooked."

"Speaking of my sister..." I suddenly felt really nervous. "I wanted to talk to you about something."

"O-okay."

"I know that there's something going on between y'all. Paige even talked to me about you."

"She did?" I asked, my heart speeding up.

"Yeah. And I just wanted to talk to you, you know see how you felt. But by how excited you got just now I'm assuming you feel the same way." He chuckled. I blushed and ran my hand through my hair.

"Yeah. She's great, I really like her." I smiled.

"I know. And I think it's great."

"Really? You don't mind...you know me being older?"

"No, not really. I jist remember how upset she was when he ex dumped her. She's gotten a lot better, but I hadn't seen her as happy as she was when she was talking about you." I blushed again.

"She makes me really happy too."

"Well I'm glad you feel that way. Haleigh and I are about to leave and my mom got called into work, so you three are on your own. We'll be back later to go to Haleigh's for dinner so Renée and Daniel can have time alone, too. Don't be afraid to tell her how you feel. I know she likes you."

"Thanks Mason."

"Of course man." He patted my shoulder then got up to leave. I waited a few minutes, then got up off the couch and went into the living room.

I heard Paige and Jae in the kitchen so that's where I headed.

"Hey," I said.

"Oh, hey." She smiled. I couldn't help but smile back. "I'm just giving Jae her bottle before her nap."

"Oh okay."

"Maybe we could watch a movie?"

"Yeah, sure. Want me to find something?"

"Yeah, I'll meet you in the den." I nodded and went back to the den. I grabbed the remote and flipped through a bunch of movies.

"What about spider-man?" She asked, coming and sitting next to me.

"Sounds good." I found the movie and turned it on. She scooted closer to me and I wrapped my arm around her, holding her close to me.

I wasn't paying attention to anything going on in the movie, I was too preoccupied in my mind. I was trying to figure out how to tell Paige that I liked her. I know that she has her guard up because of her ex, but we kissed yesterday and I felt like it meant something. We were leaving the next day and I knew I had to say something before we left.

I thought about what Mason had said and thought about what I should say. I looked over at Paige. She looked at me and smiled.

"Paige..."

"Hm?"

"I know we've only known each other for a few days...and we don't really know each other that well...but I-i think I really like you," I told her quietly. She looked into my eyes, but I couldn't tell what she was thinking. I looked away and shook my head.

"Shit I'm sorry, I shouldn't have said anything I-"

"No, no. Zach I really like you too. I like you a lot." She smiled.

"Really? I know it's kinda sudden but..."

"Yeah. I know it is, but I really like you."

I looked into her eyes and she looked at me. I looked down at her lips, then slowly started to lean in. She put her hand on my cheek and slowly leaned in. I felt butterflies in my stomach and my heart sped up.

Finally our lips touched and it was nothing I had ever experienced. She slowly moved her lips on mine, and I slipped my tongue into her mouth. She put her hand on my chest and moved onto my lap. I held her waist with one hand and the back of her neck with the other.

She wrapped her arms around my neck and continued kissing me. Eventually, we pulled away from the kiss to catch our breath.

"Wow," she whispered. I smiled and rubbed her back.

"You're amazing Zach. Like not only that kiss, but like you're just a great guy. I've never met anyone like you." She smiled. I smiled back at her and pecked her lips.

"You're amazing too. And I know I'm leaving tomorrow, but I'm really hoping we can make something work with us."

"I'm definitely willing to try," she said biting her lip.

"Me too." She leaned forward and kissed me again. She rolled off of my lap, leaning on my shoulder again like before.

Suddenly we heard cries from the baby monitor. Paige sighed and started to get up. I paused the movie and got up with her.

"You can stay, I'm just gonna bring her in here."

"No, I'll come with you." She smiled and grabbed my hand. We walked to her room and found Jae crying in her crib. She leaned over and picked her up while I grabbed some toys and her playmat.

We went back to the den and got her all settled. We sat on the floor and played with her. I kept stealing glances from Paige, smiling and blushing everytime we caught each others eye.

It felt so weird. I had never acted this way around a girl before. Usually I was confident and flirty and sure of myself, but with Paige all I could feel was butterflies in my stomach. She made me nervous and self-conscious, but I liked it.

Paige sat next to me and started playing with Jae. I wrapped my arm around her and rested my head on her shoulder.

She turned her head and kissed my cheek then kissed my lips. I smiled and hugged her tighter. Jae giggled and waved her arms and legs around, messing with her toys.

Paige started talking to her and playing with her, both of them smiling so wide. I smiled watching them.
