Renée's P. O. V.
I woke up in Daniel's arms again. I slowly sat up and rubbed my eyes, stretching my arms.
"Good morning," Daniel said groggily. I smiled and looked back at him.
"Good morning."
"You ready for today?" He asked. I sighed.
"I think so." I slipped out from under the covers and went over to the small crate Daniel and I had bought for Squirt yesterday and let him out. He ran around the room.
"It's at noon right?" Daniel asked.
"Yeah at the Boston Harbor Hotel."
"Okay."
"I'm gonna shower," I said grabbing my stuff and some clothes.
I went into the bathroom and quickly showered. I straightened my hair and got dressed.
Last night Daniel took me shopping so I could get a coat and warmer clothes. I wore black jeans and a gray sweater.
I left the bathroom and sat in front of the mirror to do my makeup. Daniel went into the bathroom to shower. Squirt came and sat in my lap while I did my makeup.
Once I finished I sprayed myself with perfume and put my furry boots on. Daniel was fixing his hair in the mirror. I put my black coat on and a gray beanie.
"Okay, we need to leave it's like a twenty minute drive," Daniel said. We had half an hour until noon.
"Okay." I put Squirt in his crate with his toy then grabbed my purse and Keri's copy of my mom's book and left.
Daniel offered to drive and I let him. I hopped in the passengers seat and tried to calm my nerves.
Once we arrived, we parked and headed inside. While we stood in line, I felt my stomach flipping.
"You okay?" Daniel asked.
"Just nervous," I said quietly. He reached for my hand and squeezed it.
"She loves you, Renée. No need t be nervous."
"What if she doesn't know who I am?" I asked.
"She will." I sighed and leaned into Daniel. He hugged me tight.
The line moved forward slowly. It was last noon when we got to the front.
"Do you have your tickets?" The security lady asked.
"Tickets?" I asked.
"Yes, this is a reserved event."
"When did that happen?"
"Since this was announced. I'm sorry, if you don't have tickets, you'll need to leave."
"What? But no one ever said we needed tickets," Daniel jumped in. After all this and we won't even be able to get in.
I looked around and caught sight o my mom walking towards the small stage set up for her. My heartbeat sped up and before I knew it i was running towards her.
"Hey!" The security guard yelled, grabbing my wrist, but I yanked my arm away and kept running.
"Mom!" I yelled. She turned her head and saw me. She was confused at first, but then I could see in her face that it all clicked.
"Renée!" She exclaimed. I ran up to her and into her arms. She hugged me tight and rubbed my back. I could feel my tears pouring down my face.
"I can't believe it's really you," I whispered.
