~~Holiday~~

The days leading up to Christmas eve were busy. The break had already started and you were frantically trying to pull together a gift personalized for each host from the club as well as for your personal butler who had been very helpful with your homework as of recently, practically tutoring you in the sections of math and history you were having trouble with. And when the eve finally came, you were able to relax, but only for the morning. You managed to get everyone a small gift, personalized for each individual host, even the twins had separate and personalized gifts from you.

With all the presents under the tree in the main sitting room off to the left of the foyer and a small reprieve of the craziness as you ate breakfast, it was time to start getting things ready for the Host Club's visit. They would be here at eight in the evening and would sleep over to spend Christmas day here as well. But there was still a lot to do, extra rooms had to be cleaned and set up for their stay and activities had to be planned out to entertain your friends during their stay.

You gave each maid a room to clean for the guests and made sure that one room had two smaller beds in it to accommodate the twins' odd habit of sharing a bedroom. The twins, Hunny and Mori's guest rooms were on the floor above where your bedroom was while Haruhi, Tamaki, and Kyoya had guest rooms in the same hallway as yours. Haruhi would be in the room to the left of yours, Kyoya had the room across the hall and Tamaki's was across from Haruhi's. Each maid had been given a different decorating plan for the rooms they were assigned.

Hunny's would be given light pastel colored bedding and curtains and a couple weighted training dummies to play around with his martial arts if he wanted. Mori's was to be decorated in neutral cream and navy blue for the bedding and simple white curtains along with some kendo practice items if he wished to use them. The twins' room wouldn't be changed too much from how it was with light blue and white decor, a nice comfy couch for lounging and a video game console hooked up to the large flat screen hanging on the wall across from what would soon be two beds. Haruhi's room would be given forest green bedding compared to its current all-white decor but otherwise, it would be left unchanged since you knew she wouldn't appreciate anything overly fancy. Tamaki's room was almost the exact opposite, being decorated as if for a real prince, comfortable and welcoming yet showy. And lastly, Kyoya's room would be given simple grey and navy blue decor, the rest of the room being kept simple though adding a desk and chair along with a small bookcase that held a selection of books that could possibly interest him if he wished to relax and read.

~~Time Skip~~

When all the hustle was done with, everything all set up and ready for the arrival of your friends, you had a moment to relax and think about some stuff. Like how you hoped each person would like the gifts you'd picked out for them or that you still hadn't gotten a replacement phone after it fell in the bath the other day while you had been reading a book you bought online, or what had happened at the end of last week with Kyoya in the back room of the Host Club after hours...

You stiffened and sat more upright on the loveseat in the sitting room, gently slapping both hands to your cheeks and shaking your head to try and get rid of that thought. You had been so busy with getting ready for the holiday that you had completely spaced on that incident and now you just couldn't get rid of the thought and it was giving your eye an annoyed twitch. That had been so embarrassing and you had wanted nothing more than to disappear after it had happened. You hadn't been to visit the club since and when the break started, you avoided talking to any of the hosts while you focused on other holiday related things.

When the doorbell rang ten minutes later, you were still pink in the face, though less so as you'd been able to distract yourself by watching the news on the big tv above the fireplace in the sitting room that currently had a small fire going for nice comfortable heat. Your personal butler had just set down a cup of tea for you on the coffee table and you nodded your head to the door, a silent cue to tell him to answer it as you shut off the tv and picked up your cup of tea, taking a small sip of the hot beverage.

The quiet estate was filled with the sound of squabbling twins and an annoyed Tamaki trying to get them to shut up and you smiled at the sound. As the pink tint to your cheeks finally faded completely, your butler returned to the sitting room, the group of boys plus Haruhi trailing in behind him. "Please bring everyone something to drink." You asked your butler who nodded and gave a slight bow before taking a few requests for specific kinds of tea and one coffee before heading off to the kitchens to make the requested drinks.

You got up from the love seat with a warm smile at your friends, gesturing for them to have a seat. "This is my first Christmas away from home; I'm glad you guys could make it, it would have been really boring without friends around." a happy to tone to your voice as you sat down with the rest of the hosts, Haruhi sharing the love seat with you casually. "Thanks for inviting us, (y/n)! We were really excited to see your home," Hunny said in a cheery voice, clearly in the holiday spirit. His happiness was contagious and even Mori and Kyoya allowed almost invisible smiles to grace their lips. And when everyone's drinks were brought out, the happy, idle chatter started among the eight of you. Yeah... this would definitely be a good holiday, you could just tell.
