Ever wake up with that feeling something significant would happen? Yeah, that was me. I didn't just wake up with it; they awoke me to it. Like when I opened my eyes and had people staring at me, such as my siblings.
"Aaaaahhhhhh!" I screamed as they grabbed me and stripped me down to my underwear. Then they bound and gagged me.
"This is for ratting us out," Lakin said.
"And for getting us Uncle Nix as a babysitter," Larkin added.
They quickly bound and gagged me, taking me out of my bedroom. On the plus side, my siblings threw a blanket over me. I found myself tied to a post with Major. We were in the middle of the quad inside the school. What did you think they would tie us up outside? It's ten degrees outside. My siblings might be a lot of things, but let us freeze to death was not one of them.
We stood there, tied to a post as both our families looked at us.
"That is a lot more fun than I thought it would be," Maverick said as we looked at him.
"What was I supposed to do?" I said to them.
"Not call in the big guns for one," Larkin answered.
"You got into a brawl," I countered.
"When don't we get in a brawl?" She asked with a look.
"Good point," I said.
"Do you need reminding of that one time with an animal?" Lyric asked me.
"No, no, let's not go there, like ever," I said with a look.
"What did you do?" Major asked me.
"Nothing that needs to concern you," I told him.
"Bullshit. This dink stole a horse and rode around on it naked, yelling hi yo silver," Larkin ratted me out.
"She ended up getting us arrested," Lyric added with a look.
"We got house arrest for two months," Lex added.
"Were you drunk?" Major asked me.
I looked at him incredulously. "No, I was fifteen and insane."
"You're telling me," he sighed.
"Thanks." I rolled my eyes.
"Yeah, want to throw us under the bus, then we'll throw you under the bus," Larkin told me because that's what we did.
I sighed and resigned the fact that no matter what, you can't escape when a Gray gets even with you, also when you're a Gray.
"At least you waited until my casts came off," I told them.
"We may be a lot of things, but cruel isn't one of them," Lyric replied.
Contrary to popular belief, my family did not, and I repeat, did nothing to you while you were sick or injured. It was a rule with us. They waited until you were well for payback.
They let us stay there for an hour while people walked by and looked at us. Some pointed, some whispered, my family, laughed. Then they untied us and handed us clothes. I never felt so happy to wear clothes in my entire life.
After I finished dressing, I thought about it then said, "You know, I don't even know why I dressed in skimpy outfits like I used to do. I feel a lot better having clothes on."
"Maybe it is because you aren't insecure and attention-seeking like you used to be," Lyric suggested.
I looked at them as they smiled at me. I couldn't help but laugh at the irony of it all.
