Kyrie Irving, The Praying Mantis, deduced that the best way for the Celtic Knights to learn how to fight effectively as a unit in battle was to lead them on an excursion through the northeast where they would hunt mythical beasts together. The knights were tracking Enes Kanter, The Troll, when they saw the legendary Madison Square Castle in the distance. The sun had already begun to set and the Celtic Knights would certainly be at a disadvantage in the dark so Irving decided that they would take refuge there for the night.

Upon arrival, they were greeted and taken in by most beautiful maiden in all the realm, Queen Knickole of Old York. Her curvaceous figure, sharp cheek bones, and long dark hair had the Celtic Knights gawking during their tour of the castle. When they arrived at the living quarters, she turned around and addressed all the knights at once.

"This is where you will all be staying. I hope the accommodations are to your liking, she said with a hypnotic smile before turning her head and fixing her gaze squarely on Irving.

"You will be provided with your own private room, Lord Irving..."

Later that night, Irving laid on the enormous bed in the immaculate private chambers that were provided to him. The furniture had gold accents and the walls were lined with portraits of knights from Old York's past. Suddenly, the chamber door began to creak open. Irving sat up and quickly identified Queen Knickole herself entering the room.

"Enjoying your stay so far?", she said with a chuckle as she made her way to the bed. She took a seat at the foot of the bed and removed a pin from her hair, causing it to all drop down all at once. She then laid back on the bed and spread her hair as wide as possible across the covers before calling calling out to Irving.

"You know, a man of your stature is made for this place, Lord Irving. My city has everything...everything except a king."

The transfixed Irving smiled as he ran his fingers through her winding hair and thought to himself that the strands resembled a tightly woven spider web in a way. The queen then sat up and began to crawl slowly toward him as she whispered on.

"Bernard King, Isiah Thomas, Carmelo Anthony... all had opportunity elsewhere, but not one of them could resist..."

Irving's eyes widened as he noticed that some Knickole's teeth had grown sharp and that she had begun to sprout four extra legs from her torso.

"Meeeeeeee..."

As her voice carried on, white noise rang through his ears and the walls began to pulsate. He tried to move, but the queen's hair had engulfed the entire bed. As she came closer, the sounds of people cheering his name echoed through the chamber. Only a couple of feet away, she opened her mouth wide and prepared to strike.

Suddenly, the chamber door was forcibly kicked open. She hissed for a moment before she looked over and saw none other than Lord Larry Bird, The Legendary Wizard ,standing in the doorway. He clutched his wooden staff with both hands and trust it into the ground before shouting a quick spell.

"BE GONE, HARLOT!"

A single wave of white light blasted from the floor and quickly illuminated the room. The shape-shifting queen completed the rest of her transformation in an instant and let out a shrill shriek before scurrying away along the wall on her eight legs out the window. Bird ran over to the bed and held his hand out for Irving.

"Eyes on the prize, son. Time to go."
