The Golden Sparrow, Lord Steph Curry strolled to the front gate of King James' new castle on the outskirts of Angel City, casually twirling an arrow between his fingers as he was known to do. He reached the gate and knocked loudly with a petulantly fast tempo. After a few seconds of no response, he looked up to the top of the wooden gate and called out to his new enemies.

"Hello!? Don't tell me you're all out tending to the avocado trees now." He chuckled to himself as he put his hands on his hips.

The Lion, Lebron James and his new generals hurried to the courtyard and convened just on the other side of the gate.

"What could he possibly want? And what is he doing here alone?", the young general Kyle Kuzma pondered aloud. Secretly wishing the Warrior King would provide an answer. James stroked his fingers through his beard as he contemplated the situation.

"Squire! Fetch me my shield..."

The young attendant Lonzo Ball scurried to the armory as the Lake Knights altogether faced the gate in formation behind their new leader. James gave the order and the gates creaked open.

On the other side, Lord Curry looked as unassuming as ever, but the knights were wise to not underestimate his ability. His accuracy and speed with the bow was unmatched in the history of the realm, so proper respect was crucial in surviving any encounter with him.

"Ah, Lord James! It's good to see you! How was your journey? You're a long way from the Eastern Territories... There are all manners of beasts and knights here, you know..."

Kuzma immediately snapped back and interrupted Steph's monologue.

"YOU WILL SHOW PROPER ETIQUETTE IN THE PRESENCE OF THE KING!"

Curry cocked his head backward in response and formed a puzzled look on his face.

"King?.....What king?", he retorted, looking around in all directions. "I don't see a king anywhere. Men! Do you see a king anywhere around here?"

Suddenly, shadows appeared and grew over the the hosts. James looked to the sky and processed an all too familiar sight. The rest of the Golden Knights Sir Kevin Durant, Sir Klay Thompson, and Sir Draymond Green seemed to levitate in an aerial formation after they jumping from atop the castle walls. The young Kuzma let out an exacerbated cry.

"What the?!? Whe- How did they?!?"

The intruders landed behind the Lake Knights and immediately stood up straight with their unique weapons drawn and their magnificent golden armor glistening in the sun.

"These are not the Eastern Territories, Lord James. No king alone shall ever prosper here. And should you somehow get help, know that we are indomitable", Curry continued to boast. Such brazen mockery of the King was unheard of. He then turned around and literally threw the arrow into a lion crest that was painted on one of the wooden doors of the gate.

James stood firm completely unfazed. He had little reaction to Curry, the shining gold armor, the arrow, or the enemies behind him.

"You know Lord Curry, you remind me of someone I knew a long time ago. A real braggart and talker much like yourself."

The Sparrow's brow and ears perked up as he smiled in response . "Oh? And who might that be?"

Still unfazed, the Lion turned his head slightly and addressed one of the Lake Knights behind him.

"Lord Rondo, why don't you tell him the story?"
