King Lebron James, The Lion, believed that knights of the realm required mental attunement. This meant that warriors in his employ were not to focus solely on combat, but on the arts as well. For in his eyes, a balanced fighter was an effective fighter. The Lake Knights were no exception and The King needed a new mural to be painted.
He posed on a platform in the middle of the cathedral room of the Angel City castle as the rest of the Lake Knights painted on different areas of a massive canvas that was secured tightly in place with thick ropes fastened to it's four corners. Some of them worked on ladders while others stayed on the ground. James stood proudly for hours with his right foot planted on a hefty rock and had a sword pointing in the air in his outstretched hand. And every inch of his ceremonial gold armor glistened in the natural light beaming in from a high window.
Meanwhile, Lord Commander Luke Walton, paced along the seemingly endless canvas and encouraged the Lake Knights.
"Good, men. Slow and steady progress now. Well done, Brandon. You are still young, but you will improve with time."
Walton stopped briefly behind the young lord Kyle Kuzma's section of the canvas and analyzed it for a moment.
"Hmm...well done Kyle. Keep at it."
After another hour or so, The King lowered his sword called out to the Lake Knights.
"All right let's stop for now."
He removed his helmet and hopped down from the platform and walked over to the canvas to judge the progress, looking up and down at the entire work of art for a few moments before analyzing each knight's individual contribution. He noticed that there were inconsistencies in the brush strokes and layering of the paints between the various knights. James glared at Lord Walton for a moment before turning back toward the painting. He took his massive hand and clutched one side of the canvas weave before offering his opinion.
"I will not accept this mediocrity. I expect more from all of you."
And with that, The Lion yanked down the canvas with a single powerful tug. It made a billowing noise as it crashed down to the ground in front of the dejected Lake Knights. James signaled to the attendants standing along the walls of the room to go fetch another one as he headed back toward the platform. He put his helmet back and assumed his pose once more.
"Now start again."
