On a slightly frigid autumn evening in the Flatlands of Dallas, Lord Harrison Barnes, The Silver Rider, trained alone in the castle courtyard by way of repeated practice swings of his trusty broadsword. For two straight hours, he executed a two step sequence of moving backwards then forwards with overhead swings on each movement.

As he swung alone, he thought about his journey up until that point. He pondered on what motivated him as the voices of the lords of his previous house in the Golden City played in his head.

"Your fighting style is just...too timid for our liking, Lord Barnes", Lord Steph Curry's voice explained.

Barnes paid no mind to the sweat dripping into his eye as he continued on.

"Your lack of consistent archery is simply a detriment to our overall strategy", Lord Klay Thompson's voice piled on.

Barnes felt himself begin to run out of breath and strength to lift his sword as Sir Draymond Green, The Golden Boulder's voice added.

"Your close-range swordsmanship lacks fury and thus I cannot recommend you for our highest ranks. Perhaps...a spot with our second and third units will suffice."

Barnes furrowed his brow and fixed his gaze forward with gritty determination as he found the strength to continue training.
