Okay, so the royal dining hall that only caters for the king and his family and some top officials has been accommodating one unfamiliar face two times in a row now. The curiosity among the palace staffs are huge and overwhelming but the one thing that they are more shock for is the king's attitude around the guest.
He is acting cozy He is acting familiar And his smiles are visible As if, the man is the only person that exists.
There's something special on the way they interacted. The way they looked at one another. How the tension-filled air is suffocating the people near them.
Maybe it's because of the shorter man's light blush. Or the slight knitting of his brows.. Or maybe because the little prince is just like his father, he is too familiar with the visitor.
They are looking at the man with so much tenderness.
But who are them to assume? Who are they to judge and decide what is up?
In a place where countless people work, there's no way anyone can control anyone's tongue on blabbing. Just one person's squeak on another individual can spread out like wildfire faster than anyone can think.
But the King and the Prince are happy. The palace that only lightens up by the little Prince's innocent smiles and curious laughter is now grace by the King's rare carefree aura. The suffocating power that the king has and usually affecting everyone with his serious and scary look is cannot be seen as he smiles and talks more at the dining table. He looked approachable. He looked human.
"Can I go home after this?." Can as in no one in particular.
"No!." The father and son duo said at the same time startling Can. Canary laugh at the coincidence as he shakes his head to support his no.
"Why not? I can't stay here forever." Can internally winch at that. There goes that stupid conscience.
"Daddy, you can stay here for as long as you want, when I'm the king already I'll let you stay here forever," Canary said in conviction. The little boy even stared at Can with all the seriousness he could muster.
"Are you trying to overthrow me from my position, Prince?." Tin sent a wink at Can which only receives an eye roll before he raises an eyebrow to his son.
"Papa, I didn't say I will take it from you, I will wait till you are a grandpa then I will be the king." like talking to a child, Canary move his hands in the air.
Can have to crouch down his head further into his plate to hide the laughter on his face upon hearing Canary's way of talking to Tin. The king who's mouth is agape, is bound speechless by the Prince once again.
