SHAN'S POV

Baguio is a great destination for foodies, with many restaurants serving Western and Filipino dishes that makes use of fresh fruits and vegetables.

We went out early in the morning to go here in Cafe by the Ruins for breakfast. Tristan said that this cafe is one of the best in making and serving coffees here in Baguio, and he's right.

The place is nice and has a homey feeling. Wooden interiors, wine and bread on display. I didn't expect that the place would be like that. Since, it's like a small bakery from the outside.

Nandito kami sa second floor ng cafe. The open-air deck provide a breezy gathering spot with great lightning.

One of the advocacies of Cafe by the Ruins is that everything has to be locally sourced and made in-house.

Their menu still carries the classic favorites vegans and non-vegans.

For coffee, we ordered Rizal Tsokolate-e, one which is a local Malagos cocoa with rich carabao's milk that has just the right sweetness and thickness, and Ruins Coffee which is an Arabica coffee steeped with cardamom and topped with whipped cream and cinnamon. This is intense but very enjoyable, more so if you are into strong flavors.

For breakfast meal, we ordered two Pasta a la Carbonara or what they called breakfast pasta. It has everything you need in a complete meal-bacons, eggs and carbs. One meal of Filipino lon-si-log or what they called Longganisang Hubad/ Marinated Pork Cubes and one order of Bacon and eggs.

"How was it taste, Love?" untag ni Tristan pagkatapos niyang nguyain ang isinubong pasta.

Pinunasan ko muna ang labi bago nagsalita.

"Hmm..it tastes good.

He nodded then he sips his coffee, the Ruins Coffee. Now, I know.

" So after we eat our breakfast, saan na tayo pupunta?" I asked.

" Do you like to go to Burnharm park? Malapit lang dito iyon."

I smiled for his thought. " Of course, I would like to go."

Iyon nga ang ginawa namin. Pumunta kami sa Burnharm park. The place is crowded.

"Last time we went here in Baguio, hindi tayo nagkasama na mag-saya dito sa park." ani Tristan.

Yeah, I remembered.

I also got a pictures of him.
