9. Serendipity

It's Thursday and Toni, fangs, jug and I are standing in the hallway just chatting. "So how was your date with sweet pea?" Toni asks with a mean smirk on her face "it was good" I reply. Of course it was better than just good but I don't know how to describe it so good felt like a nice choice. Moreover, they can guess the rest by my giggling. "Julia are you coming to the party today? It's a retirement party in the whyte wyrm for fp" fangs wants to know. "Fp is my dad and you have to come, no is not an answer" Jughead adds. "Of course I'm coming" I smile and the others nod. "Some of my friends are coming too and I want you to meet them" Jughead says, I already told me about his friends from Riverdale high and I'm happy to meet them.

Jug said it's a casual party so I just kept on what I decided to wear this morning.

Sweat pea and I got to the bar a bit late and as we entered somebody was already on the stage singing 'mad world'. We great some people and I think mad world is a beautiful song but isn't it a bit too sad for a party. What a buzzkill. The Two singing don't look like serpents so I guess they are Jugheads friends. I didn't have much time looking at them because the girl stormed of the stage and the boy ran after her. The whole bar started booing, till now this isn't my favourite party.
We get something to drink at the bar and walk to the side where sweet pea leans at a wall and I sit on a bar stool.
Now there is a blond girl on stage continuing the song. I start sipping on my drink when suddenly the girl starts to take her clothes of. I nearly choked on the liquor. What is she doing? Is she one of Jugheads friends? Damn I thought they were more prude. She is stripping to mad world, super awkward and I don't enjoy this unlike most of the serpents just like sweet pea. He isn't shouting but I can see the expression on his face change to a satisfied smile. I start feeling weird and I never felt like this before. Maybe I'm angry or just dissapointed and surprised. Not only did I think this would be a chill party where I would meet jugs friends and have some fun with my boyfriend. But no. This girl is doing a pole dance and my boyfriend is enjoying it. Annoyed I get up my seat and walk away. Maybe I was quiet or maybe sweet pea was too fascinated by the stripper, anyway he didn't notice me leaving. Going home is not an option because walking around South side at this hour may not be the best idea. Finally I spot Toni and immediately walk towards her. She was standing behind the bar giving out drinks. "Hey T" I murmur. "You don't enjoy the show either Ju, don't you?" She replies. Relieved she feels the same I say "no I don't, but my boyfriend sure does" I role my eyes and pour down the shot Toni put in front of me. "Shit, I mean I know sweet pea and he just is like that but I know that he is quite possessive when it comes to his girlfriends, so I didn't think he would react like that"
"This whole party sucks" I take the next shot with Toni. "In our defens, the serpents usually throw better parties than this. Guess it's jugs northside friends. I mean who does a pole dance to mad world", "exaaactly, it's literally the musical equivalent of stripping to Coldplay's 'Fix You' aka awkward as fuck." We both laugh and the alcohol starts kicking in. "Looks like Jughead is really really not into this" Toni giggles. I don't know what we drank but she already seems a bit tipsy. "Yeah but I don't think Jughead is the type of guy who is into that" I point at the girl still dancing at the pole. "I know" Toni laughs "but this is his girlfriend" I look at her with big eyes and we both start laughing so hard we nearly cry. I calm down again and the feelings start hitting me again "I'm just dissapointed in sweet pea and I'm angry and mad and sad" I say and you can hear that I start getting drunk. "Forget him, he can be an asshole, here" she hands me another shot glass over and we clink our glasses. Finally a guy gets on stage and gives his jacket to the girl. The man seems to be FP and now he is holding a speech but I can't concentrate on what he says because Toni and I had a bit too much to drink. FP was done talking and everybody was cheering, sweet pea must have noticed that I'm gone and I can see him looking around. Toni saw him too "I don't want to see him nooow" I mumble and I can only hear Toni say "Shit julia" but then I get turned around on my stool to see sweet pea. "Where have you been?" He asks plain. "Where have you been?" I ask but my words are a bit unclear. "You're drunk" he notices and he doesn't seem to like it. "I'm not" I giggle and try to get of my seat but sweet pea picks me up bridal style and carries me outside. "Bye juulees" Toni screams reaching for me with her hand and I scream back "Bye tonii"
Sweet Pea seems pissed but I'm too. Although I'm too drunk to be in full possession of my right mind but I am mad at him. He sits me on his bike and just says "hold on tight" then he starts driving, a bit too fast for me because I start feeling sick. We finally arrive at our trailer and sweet pea wants to pick me up again "Hey I can walk by myselff" I complain like a baby. He doesn't care and carries me inside,walks into the bedroom and lays me down. I want to change my clothes and I want to brush my teeth and I don't want to sleep in the same bed as he does, but I'm too tired and I just close my eyes. A few seconds later I'm already asleep.
