60. Airplane

Nothing good ever happens in that town but madness. Oh they have more than enough madness in Riberdale. The people are crazy murderers or form dangerous cults. It probably was the best to leave. I need normality even if I have to leave another life behind. I have to leave him behind but I question myself every second if that was the right thing to do.

Maybe I have too much baggage and he will be happier now that I'm not there anymore. I hope so.

I look outside the window. 35,000 ft over the ground I look over the sheer endless horizon with its blue sky and fluffy clouds. The scholarship in Sevilla was a sign to leave Riverdale and I'm happy that I accepted it.

I take out my pad and a paper falls out. It's my probably very first poem Tomorrow. Maybe I should start writing again. Like Mr. Parker always preached:

Poetry helps you to deal with feelings and conservates them.

I start thinking about sweet pea and take out a pen.

I sit by the window where cool air blows
I think of you while looking at the far sky
I must be a fool who can't be helped
Even when the four seasons change, I don’t

They say there's no point in regretting but
I'll keep thinking of you
I will smile if I see you as if nothing happened

For you I’m okay with being hurt
Since I only gave you pain during the time we were together
But you, the love you want
You need to meet someone better than me and be happy
But I hope not to the point where you forget me

I can't fall asleep this night under the moonlight
No matter how much I wait, you won't come
Next to me is an empty space
I'm not a stranger to being alone anymore
