"Actually, Veronica and the others asked me to eat at pops with them" I smile sweetly hoping he'll agree. He doesn't seem to happy about it but he knows I'll do it anyway "k" he kisses me and walks away.

"He didn't seem too happy that you are friends with northsiders" Jughead notices
"So?" I ask but in that moment betty, Veronica, Archie and Kevin approach us. "Hey J, ready to go?" Veronica asks happily "Let's go Ronnie" I stick out my tongue and smile.

At pops we slide into our booth and order food. I'm sitting next to betty and Kevin. Jughead and Archie with Veronica in his arm are sitting opposite of us. We start joking around and talk about normal stuff like where we're from what we like but when Jughead leaves for the toilet the real questions are to be discussed.

"You and sweet pea, we need details" Kevin looks at me. "Yeah how did this happen?" Betty wonders. "I don't know how to start" I laugh but in front of my inner eye all the images of what we went through show up. I sure as hell won't tell them about tommy who tried to rape me and my parents who used to beat me. Yeah that's how we met and that's why I'm living with him. "But you are not a serpent right?" Kevin wonders "no I'm not", "Kev don't distract" Veronica insists on hearing my story "Eh Jughead introduced us and we got to know each other better because of same friends. One night I was left with him at pops and we started talking and..." i tell them a whole story making sweet pea look pretty good "yeah he drove me home and then we kissed" I lie. "Cute" Ronnie sighs. "Ye I didn't think he could be so soft" Archie states. I see Jughead coming back from from the bathroom so I change the topic "Yeah yeah super soft, but how did you two get together?" I lean my elbows on the table next to my milkshake and they start telling the story.

"Oh Julia are you and sweet pea coming to the ball?" Betty wonders
"What ball?"
"It's for the new students, to welcome them properly and so they'll feel more like a part of Riverdale high." Veronica pledges
"Oh... I don't know" I'm not really into stuff like this "and I don't think sweet pea is to keen on going there" I use him as an excuse.
"Ooh but it's gonna be fun and betty and Ronnie spent so much time planning everything" Kevin tries persuading me
"Ehm moreover it's obligatory" betty adds with an amused smile.
"Sorry but you're coming with us" Veronica states with her winning smile.
"Guess we don't have choice then" Jughead looks at me.

"Anyway the theme is classique chique." V chirps sweetly
"Yeah and the ball is not until next week Friday so we still have time to decide for our dresses" betty adds
"Great, how about us three girls go dress shopping this weekend" Veronica takes our hands
I smile insecure but I can't say no, so I got a shopping date for Saturday.

~Saturday at 'Lorias dresses'

They have beautiful gowns here with tremendously high prizes. "I hate to be a buzzkill but I don't think I will be able to afford any of these things in the whole store. Maybe a glove..." I think, wondering who would buy a glove for 60$.
"Don't worry honey, I got daddy's American Excess so dont worry i got this" Veronica waves a black card in the air.
Wow

I don't feel too comfortable not paying for my gown but V wouldn't change her mind so we just tried on dress after dress. V has a great taste and picked some for me, one fancier than the other but in the end I decided I'd wear a black one
Choose your dress:

"Wow this suits you really well" betty admires me as I step out the dresser
"Simple but chic" V adds
"Thanks guys, but yours are so gorgeous as well" I compliment them.
Betty chose to wear a rose shoulder free dress

And Veronica is going to wear a magnificent gown with a low cut neckline

"Girls what do you say about a milkshake at pops after this successful day" betty proposes
"I'd love to" I nod and Veronica agrees.

We sit in our booth and sip at our shakes and chat and laugh. Veronica tells us the latest gossip and I start thinking how different this is from when I hang out with Toni and the other serpents. Their world is so pink and light headed. I wonder if life on the north side is like this. I wonder if my life is going to be like this.
