Ok, so Jug and I blew up Ronnie's cover at the party. A classic B&V, and we destroyed it. Well. They tried to get information on the football team, apparently they play to hurt. Coincidentally, Monroe got hurt, before the game but he'll play either way.

So it's the big day. Matchday. Bulldogs versus Stallions.
Anyway, I'm next to the field stretching with the other cheerleaders since the game is about to begin and so is our routine.

The players run on the field and there he is, Sweet pea with number 19 and a fine ass in those pants.
Ok focus Julia. The whistle sounds, the music plays, the game starts.

It's a tough last game of the year. They say that all that armour in football just encourages the players to hit each other harder, you can't see the bruises but I'm sure their brains get rattled around in their skulls pretty hard.

You could feel the adrenaline from the pitch to the stands and flowing right around the stadium. It was the sort of tension people crave, because it comes right before the elation... maybe... There is something about that, the possibility of joy rather than the certainty that makes it all so much fun.

The game commences, and the Stallions score first. However, the Bulldogs get Munroe the ball and he scores. By the end of the game, it’s the Bulldogs’ 6 points to the Stallions’ 7, and Archie is planning to go for a two-point conversion. Archie hands Munroe the ball, but he fails to make the conversion and is tackled to the ground. With that as the final play of the game, the Stallions leave with the victory.

It was a good game but in the end it wasn't enough for the Bulldogs to win.
Disappointed they return to the changing room while the guests cheer on the grass. Hopping around like Stallions.

"Hey Julia" I turn around to see one of the stonewall players take off his helmet.
"Oh, hi Brett. Congratulations, it was a good game" I put on a nice smile.
"Told you it would be a real game" he comes closer, pushing his wet hair out of his face.

Jugheads words echoe through my head and I guess it's some kind of friend code to trust your best friend with those matters. And Jug knows Bret way better than I do so i decide to stay away from him.

"I had fun yesterday" he leans on the rail next to me.
"Yeah, me too" I try to keep my answers short but not sound too fake at the same time.
"We should do this again. Give me your number" a flirty smile plays around his lips and I can see the rest of his team eyeing us.

"Nah, I'm good. Besides, you wouldn't know what to do with a good girl if you had one" I say with Olivia in my mind.
"You're not a good girl, that's why I want your number" he stands up straight, now towering over me. Is he not understanding that that was a rejection? You are nice to a guy one time...

"No, really-"
"What are you saying?" his eyebrows pull together into a confused frown, his voice louder and subtly aggressive.

I feel like he is awfully close right now, until he is being pushed away by someone in blue and yellow and with the number 19 on his back.
"She said no" sweet pea bluffs into brets face as he is a bit taller than the stonewaller.

"Calm down, man" Bret growls and steps closer to sweet pea. "What gives you the right to talk for her? Do you even know who I am?"

"I know who you are. You are an asshole who doesn't know how to be respectful towards women. And Julia is my cheerleader" he places his arm around me, while he keeps staring at Bret. Finally, he turns around and disappears.

"You ok?" Sweet pea turns to me now
"Yeah" I say, a bit shaken up. Without anything else sweet pea turns around and walks into the changing room.
"Thank you" I whisper.
