32. Hold on tight

"Hey there" a familiar voice echoes through the room but I can't seem to match a face to it until the person stands right in front of me.

"Penny?" Confused I look up at her "What is going on? I don't understand..."
She sits down on a box opposite of me as two more people enter the room. Malachai and a guy Alaric.

"Good to see you again" an overly wide smile appears on their faces
"I heard you saw something you shouldnt" penny speaks up "wrong place wrong time, huh?" She pulls out a knife

"I didn't see shit" I spit narrowing my eyes.
"So that wasn't you seeing us dealing" alaric starts and Malachai continues "and trashing that guy when he didn't want to pay?"

Fuck, I lower my head staring at the floor.
"Ah, see you know what I mean" penny laughs up
"don't worry, we ain't the bad guys" Alaric smirks crossing his arms in front of his chest.

"So there's two options, Julia" Malachai steps closer and kneels down in front of me "You could become a ghoulie"
I look up to his face with a disgusted expression

"Or" penny plays with her knife "we see what we can do with that pretty face of yours"
"I think that's fair" Malachai shrugs his shoulders and walks back to the others.

"I have somewhere to be... people will be looking for me if I d-" I start desperately
"Oh that old excuse" penny slaps her thigh not knowing that I actually was supposed to meet someone.

Meanwhile Jughead, sweet pea, Toni and fangs park their bikes and Jughead rushes to the door. "Dad, is Julia still here?"
Fp frowning "no she left about an hour ago. Why, something wrong?"

"It's ya last chance" I hear Joe's voice behind me "join the ghoulies. That's more fun than the serpents" puffing on his cigarette. So that's the gang he's a member of... the ghoulies.

Why oh why do those things always happen to me "suck it" glaring at Joe.
"As you wish princess" penny gets up and walks closer to me "but just so you know it's a sharp knife" brushing my cheek with it I can feel a bit blood dripping down.

"How about I carve of your serpent tattoo, just like your friend Jughead Jones did with mine?" Penny first chuckling now dead serious. "Where is-"

The door slams open and Sweet pea enters the room a bit out of breath and the others follow close behind. A sigh of relief escapes my mouth as the guys run towards Malachai, Alaric and Jug and Toni come to untie me
"Omg, Julia, your face" she wipes of the blood "What happend?"

I look up to see Fangs and Alaric fighting while Sweet Pea draws back his fist to blow and as he hits Malachai he falls down. As sweet pea comes to help fangs I notice that penny must have escaped because I can't see her anymore.

The ghoulies defeated, escape through the open door and I'm finally untied.
I stand up and Toni pulls me in her embrace when she pulls away I turn around to see sweet pea towering over me.

My hands on his neck, his cupping my face he pulls me in and we kiss. Maybe it was because of the shock or because of the relieve but I start crying.

Sweet Pea stares into my eyes and wipes the tears away with his thumb.
"I don't won't to destroy the moment, but we should really go now" Jughead speaks up and I turn around.

Walking outside the building sweet leas arm still around my shoulders I notice that I'm shivering a bit. He sits me in his bike and I hold on tight as he starts driving.

"So you had to choose between joining the ghoulies or this?" Toni reassures as she cleans my wound, just a small cut.
I nod "Penny cooperates with them as it seems"
"Crazy bitch" fangs shakes his head as he walks up behind the bar of the whyte wyrm, handing Toni the first aid kit, the five of us sitting at counter.

"You wanna stay at mine today?" Sweet Pea offers, probably because I was clinging unto him this entire evening. I look at jug who gives me a reassuring smile so I nod

I walk up the stairs to a familiar trailer, sweet pea following close behind me. Basically standing in the door I turn around "sweet pea" he looks in my eyes "we've been split up for about 6 weeks... and that's the time I needed to realise that I need you in my life. I thought I could live without you but I can't, I really can't. I love you, you're the one" My voice gets faster and more hectic every second.

No response, just his soft dark eyes looking at me when a small smile plays around his lips. He pulls me in for a kiss and picks me up walking in direction of the bedroom.

You know what happend next... ;)

After a while we just layed next to each other in bed, my head resting on his chest listening to the calming beating of his heart, his one arm behind his head, the other one playing with my brown waves.

"Are we a thing again?" Sweet Pea wants to know
"No, I said 'I love you' just for fun earlier" I respond sarcastically
"Alright then" he jokingly pushes me away
"I hate you" I start laughing
"You know you love me" a satisfied smirk on his face

"Are you moving back in?" He raises his eyebrows
"I guess I could" i consider
Happy about everything being back to normal I fall asleep holding on to sweet pea, sweet pea holding on to me.
