Using his phone to navigate Danny managed to find the address Brian had sent him. It was surprisingly close to his house so he walked, telling his parents no more than that he was going out to meet some friends. They looked surprised but thankfully didn't question him.
The address lead Danny to the front door of a fairly large house, a richer part of town. Checking the address one more time he knocked on the door, feeling out of place in the nice neighbourhood in his thrown on and sloppy outfit. Baggy shirt, ripped jeans and backpack over one shoulder. He didn't even bother to do anything with his hair, deciding to go instead with the bed-head appeal. He felt like he looked homeless.
The door opened and Danny jumped as the Havve mask stared back at him.
"Hey, Dani. Glad you could make it," he said, awkwardly stepping aside to let Danny in.
"Glad to be here... The other guys here yet?" Danny returned.
"Uh, yeah. Downstairs."
Havve closed the door behind Danny, beckoning him to follow as he made his way to what Danny previously took to be a closet. Opening the door revealed a narrow flight of stairs, down which Danny could hear jovial voices talking.
The two descended into steps, emerging into a room a lot bigger than Danny expected. What was once a boring basement area had been transformed into a stereotypical teenage hang out. A drum set was tucked into the corner, and around the room were all sorts of comfy looking chairs and couches, even a coffee table with a few empty cups already on it. Danny smiled when he spotted a mini fridge in the corner. He figured that this was where the group practiced outside of school, and by the looks of it just casually hung out as well.
Brian, Sung and Phobos were all sat on one of the couches, and upon Havve and Danny entering looked up. Phobos gave a wave and Brian and Sung smiled.
"You're awake finally!" Brian congratulated, earning an eye roll from Danny and a laugh from everyone else.
"Yeah, barely," Danny responded, the mention of sleep making him yawn.
He would have happily spent the rest of his day in bed if it wasn't for Brian, but the blue eyed boy was scarily persuasive. Still, looking around this didn't seem the worst place to spend a day.
"Hey, where's Meouch?" Danny asked when he realised how quiet it was.
"He's always late," explained Sung, and Phobos nodded in agreement.
Shrugging, Danny dropped himself down into a particularly plush looking arm chair and practically felt himself sink into it. "So, what we doing today?"
"Probably just chilling, if that's okay with you," said Sung.
"Fine by me. I'm not what you'd call exciting."
"Come on, Dani. Don't put yourself down like that! You're great just the way you are," protested Brian.
Danny narrowed his eyes jokingly, pointing a finger at Brian .
"Cool it in the mush department, Bri."
~~~~~~~
Danny jolted suddenly, looking around in a daze. The last thing he remembered was listening to the others talking amongst themselves. Seeing his slumped position on the plush arm chair he guessed that he must have fallen asleep somehow and sat up more, stretching his legs. He tried and failed to stifle a yawn - he had no idea why he was so tired in the first place.
"Oh sorry, I didn't realise you were asleep," apologized Havve, who Danny noticed was sat at his drum set, drumsticks in hand.
Danny guessed that he'd started playing and that was what woke him up.
