< Danny's POV >
Autumn arrived a few weeks later. Danny had always enjoyed colder weather; he liked the changing of the leaves and the frost that seemed to appear out of nowhere and crunched beneath his feet. It wasn't quite winter, but it definitely wasn't summer anymore, the season that seemed to last forever. It was like a whole different world, and Danny loved it.
School broke up eventually too, which was cause for celebration in any teenager's eye. It also meant that Danny could hang out with his friends more freely. That and not have to get up early every day; it was common knowledge that he loved sleeping in.
One such just-about-still-morning, Danny woke up to missed calls and a frosted window. Rubbing his face and groaning with tiredness he picked up his phone. Through squinted eyes he also saw some texts from his friends and girlfriend in the group chat they'd finally got around to making, and with a sigh typed out a reply.
Danny: guys ffs what do you want?
Meouch: oooo someone got up on the wrong side of the bed ;P
Brian: isn't Danny always grumpy, no matter what time it is?
Meouch: SHIIIIT BRIAN YOU SAVAGE!
Arin: haha it's true though
Arin: trust me, I'm dating him ;)
Meouch: whoa now you got outed by your own gf, you gonna take that Danny?
Danny huffed, rolling over and covering his head with his pillow.
"Ugh, I hate you guys..." he muttered into the mattress.
He would've quite gladly gone back to sleep if it wasn't for the constant binging of his phone next to him. Throwing off the pillow Danny shot up, having had enough and fighting the urge to throw his phone.
Meouch: Danny Danny Danny Danny Danny Danny Danny Danny Danny Danny Danny Danny Danny Danny Danny Danny Danny Danny Danny Danny
Danny: stfu already
Danny: do you guys actually want anything or are you just being your usual annoying selves?
Meouch: both
Sung: yeah we wanted to know if you wanted to hang out sometime this week. Go for a movie or something?
Meouch: or would you rather just sleep for the rest of the holidays? ;)
Danny: -_-
Meouch: ;)))))))
Danny: nah that sounds fun. Just text me when
Brian: don't sound too excited
Danny: dude I literally just woke up, I don't have the energy for that shit
Brian: technically sleep gives you energy, so you should
