They ended up getting through the entirety of Portal 2 (they skipped the first game since it was single player). It was a great achievement as far as Arin was concerned, considering the fact that Danny actually proved to not be the best at puzzle solving and she (who had never played a game like that before) had to figure most of it out. Danny's mistakes made for a humorous experience, however, and Arin found herself doubled over in laughter more than once. If nothing else Danny was good at making her laugh.
Arin was starting to get hungry again by the time the credits for the game started rolling, that's how long they played. Danny jumped up when he realised they'd finished the game, making Arin flinch. He did a little victory dance and Arin giggled. Spinning around in his dance Danny caught sight of Arin still sitting and a knowing smirk appeared on his lips. He reached out and grabbed Arin's hand, pulling her up as she yelped in surprise. She couldn't stop laughing as Danny spun her around, bouncing to the end credits' beat.
"We diiiiid it!" he yelled happily.
"Yeah!"
They both threw up their arms in unison, then dissolving into laughter at the perfect timing.
"This was fun, but oh man my brain hurts from all those puzzles!" Danny exclaimed, "Wanna take another break?"
"Yeah, my hands ache from playing so long. What time is it?"
Danny hummed, pulling out his phone.
"Whoa it's past 5, we finished that really quick considering how terrible we both are at puzzles," he mused.
"When are your parents getting home?"
"Um, not until much later, there's some leftovers in the kitchen though so it's not like I'm gonna starve or anything. When do you have to go home?"
"Anytime really, I just have to text my mum to come pick me up. Why?"
"Well, uh... I was wondering if you maybe, um...."
Danny's sudden shift in character surprised Arin. Out of nowhere he seemed to not want to meet Arin's eye, and the nervous collar fiddling habit returned.
"D-Danny?" Arin said slowly, by extension starting to feel nervous.
"Heh, I was just wondering if you wanted to watch a movie or something, but i-if you want to go that's fine," Danny finished with an odd smile.
"You sound like me. I'd love to watch a movie, what have you got?"
"Um, take a look."
Danny gestured over to another small shelf. It was more sparsely populated than the games one, and Arin went over to browse. Unlike with video games, she liked movies. With the amount of years she'd spent alone in her room, she'd gotten through a lot. Most of Danny's collection she recognised, though there was one that stood out from the rest and made her laugh.
"Since when is there an Emoji Movie?" she asked.
"Oh you don't wanna watch that one. An hour and a half of my life I'll never get back."
Danny's tone was totally serious as he came over and joined Arin by the shelf. They looked over them in silence for a while. Arin had seen most of them, and those she hadn't didn't overly interest her. As she tried to decide, something in the corner of her eye caught her attention. She'd looked at most of the posters on Danny's walls, though not so much at the ones on the ceiling.
One of them really jumped out at her now though, a particular one of a unicorn. It was so out of place against all the rock bands and sparked her interest. Danny seemed to notice her attention shift and followed her gaze.
