< Arin's POV >
Despite Arin's insistence that she was now okay, Danny stayed for a while longer. They spent who knows how long sat on Arin's bed, watching stupid YouTube videos on her laptop, all while Danny had his arm around her, holding her close to his side. Arin, though she wouldn't admit it, couldn't have been happier in those moments. Wrapped up in warm blankets, tucked under Danny's protective arm while she sipped lemonade and tried not to spit it all over her laptop from laughing at the videos. She almost forgot about the huge secret she'd just revealed.
At some point Danny got up to go to the bathroom. Arin paused the video they were watching and quietly waited for him to return. He was taking a while, but before she could properly start to worry the door opened. She smiled as Danny walked in, but frowned when she saw him holding a tray, a steaming bowl and a spoon on top.
"I thought you went to the bathroom," she said suspiciously.
Danny smirked, eyes shining mischievously as he walked back over.
"Okay, I lied. But only because I wanted to get you this, and I knew you'd refuse if I asked," he confessed, presenting the tray to Arin.
Arin blushed when she saw the bowl was full of soup, tendrils of steam rising up from the thick liquid to carry the appetising smell to her nose. She hadn't eaten all day, lest she bring it back up again, but smelling this made her now mostly settled stomach rumble. There was still one thing she couldn't understand, though.
"Where did you... get this?"
"Your mum made it. She's really nice, ya know. All I had to do was say the word soup and she was off!" Danny chuckled, gently placing the tray down in her lap.
Arin held the sides to keep it in place and not spilling all over her bed while Danny climbed back onto the bed. To her secret delight he put an arm around her again, settling down as if it was nothing.
"Thank you," Arin muttered, gazing down at the soup.
"Don't mention it. I'm glad I can take care of you."
Arin blushed even deeper, looking away slightly.
You're so sweet to me, if only you felt the same way I do. This is nice...
"Hey, eat before it gets cold. Cold soup sucks," urged Danny.
Arin giggled at that, picking up her spoon as Danny pressed play on the video again. She stirred it slightly to spread the heat so it wasn't so hot, before spooning some into her mouth. She hummed at the rich taste, a heavenly nectar to her empty stomach, and heard Danny chuckle beside her. She flashed him a joking glare before taking another spoonful and continuing to watch the video.

"You should probably get going. It's getting kind of late..." Arin said quietly, checking the time on her phone.
It was almost 6, and as much as Arin loved his company she knew that Danny had a home to go to. He hadn't even had any dinner yet, and glancing at her now empty bowl she felt bad about that. They'd given up on YouTube videos, and Danny was now sat across from her, wrapped in his own blanket burrito as they talked about nothing in particular. Sighing, Danny flopped back onto the bed, letting the blankets unravel to reveal his body as he starfished, staring at the ceiling.
"Probably, but I'm having fun," he whined.
He looked over at Arin, and she smiled, instantly recognising that look in his eyes.
"I promise I'm okay now, Danny. Nothing's going to happen to me if you go home," she assured, and watched as Danny's eyes grew wide in surprise.
"H-How did you...?" Then, he huffed a laugh and shook his head slowly, "You never miss a beat, Arin."
