Horse Accident - L.O

Kenzie's POV

I was riding my black horse, Magic, out in the fields near the forest. I having fun, feeling the wind in my hair and heat on my skin. Magic was having fun too. He loves to run. Right now, he was just trotting fast.

All of a sudden a huge bird like creature flew out of the trees, shaking them. Well the nuts in them fell on top of Magic. Magic thought we were being attacked and got spooked, throwing me off. I fell in the meadow and got knocked unconscious when Magic accidentally kicked me in the head.

Loki's POV

I was reading a book in the library, when a guard came rushing in frantically. "My prince! Your daughter has been in a terrible accident in the meadows!" He said. My eyes widened as I dropped my book.

"Saddle up my horse! I'm going." I command.

Time Skip

After hours of searching, we finally found her unconscious with blood everywhere. A guard carefully picked her up and handed her to me. I laid her across in front of me. I studied her for a second. Dark bruises were already there, all over her body. She had a gash on the top of her head. I had to get her to the healers. I can't lose her like how I lost her mother.

Time Skip

I had gotten her to the healers and they ushered me out. I'm sitting in a chair waiting impatiently to get anything. Thor ran around the corner and saw me. "Brother! I heard what happened." He said, looking at me with sympathy. I glanced at him, before returning my gaze to the floor. I scared for he-no. I was fucking terrified.

That's when one of the healers came out of the room. I stood up. I couldn't read her face. "She is alive." I sigh of relief. My strong little girl. "But, she has a concussion, many broken bones. and just some minor cuts." She added. My face dropped.

"Can I see her?" I asked. She nodded. I rushed into the room, not ready for the sight I saw.

My only daughter, laying there in the bed. Covered in blood and bandages. She was asleep. I could hear Thor's heavy footsteps right behind me.

"I...I am sorry, brother. This should not have happened to her and you." He said, putting a hand on my shoulder. I walked over and held her small hand in mine. She looked so peaceful, sleeping.

Kenzie's POV

I woke up with immense pain in my head and throbbing pain every time I took a breath. I opened my eyes to a blinding light. I let out a small, painful groan. "Darling?" I heard someone call. I recognized that voice as my father. My vision settled in. I try to sit up but multiple waves of pain went through my body at different places. I wince loudly. "Hey hey, hey. Don't try to sit up, you're badly hurt." Father says. I lay back down with his help.

"Father." I call weakly. I felt him gold my hand. I squeeze it with all my strength.

"Hello love." He greeted. I turned to look at him. I could see Uncle Thor standing behind him.

"I'm sorry." I croaked. Father shook his head and stroked my hair.

"No. Its not your fault. Once you're better. You can tell us everything that happened. But I know it was an accident." He said. I nod and sit up fully this time.

"Kenzie, how do you feel?" My uncle Thor walked into the room.

"I'm...alive. That's what counts." I answer. Uncle Thor sits at the foot of the healing bed.

"We were so worried about you. We thought something worse happened. But, what did happen?" Uncle Thor asked.

"Thor, not the time. She needs to rest first." Father argued. Uncle Thor nodded in agreement and muttered an apology.

"No, it's fine, Father, I can-"

"No, you need to build your energy back up before you can do anything," Father interrupted me, pushing me back down to a laying position, "now sleep, darling. Thor and I will be right here when you wake up. I promise." He added, kissing the top of my head.

I felt Uncle Thor pull the covers over me while Father put a light sleeping spell on me.
