Delilah's POV
I was in a meeting with my parents and my brothers. My father had all called us to the table. I extremely confused as to why my mother kept looking at me with such sympathy. Loki and Thor looked worried. Well, Thor looked slightly sad also. I finally broke the silence.
"Father, why do you call us for a meeting?" I ask. Father looked up at me.
"Your mother and I, along with Thor, have come to a decision of your fate." He explained. My blood ran cold. Just one sentence was all it took to strike fear in me. Loki glanced at me with wide eyes. I guess we were both thinking the same thing.
Would I be banished?
We have all heard stories of father banishing people. Would I be next? But, why would he do that to his only daughter? What did I do wrong? All of these questions swirled through my head so loudly I almost didn't hear my mother continue.
"You have to be queen, my dear."
"WHAT!?" Loki and I shouted at the same time. Loki and I also both stood up.
"Tame yourselves! Sit down." Father barked. We sat down quickly. I could see Loki clench his jaw.
"She cannot be Queen! Thor is next in line, then its me! She has a long time till her birthright!" Loki ranted. I kept my head down because a good princess always lets the men speak first, especially if they're your older brother.
"Calm down and let us explain, Loki!" Mother said. I was taken back. Mother never snapped at Loki...or...anyone for that matter. Loki stared at the table, clenching his jaw once again. Mother took a deep breath before starting.
"Its only because we have a suitor. A King needs a Queen as to a Queen needs a King. We sadly did not find any suitable women for you anywhere. Nor Asgard or any other land within our realm. We even reached out to some other realms. I did not think any of them were good enough for my boys. But, there was a man who will connect the kingdoms Asgard and Gidyrn. This is only way our kingdom can continue. Also, they can have an heir and continue the line of our soon to be united kingdoms. I'm sorry, my sons." She finished. Tears were slowly falling down my face as she talked.
What about me!? Wasn't she sorry for me!? I'm the one who is going to marry a stranger! I'm fall victim to this also! I never wanted children!
I feel my breathing getting shallower and faster as many emotions bubble inside me. Fear, anger, sadness, nervousness, anxiety, confusion, frustration, and many more.
"Delilah?" Thor called out. I feel everyone's gaze on me. I just wanted to get out of here. I needed to get out of here. I stand up quickly and speed walk out of the room. My dark blue dress flowing behind me.
Loki's POV
Anger burned a hole through my heart every second we all sat there. Mother just finished her story. I glanced at my little sister once again. Her gaze is hard at the table in front of her. Her breathing was fast and shallow. I'm actually getting a little worried. "Delilah?" Thor calls out. Bad idea. She runs out of the room. Thor immediately stand up but so do I.
"Thor, I'll go after her." I say. He hesitates, before nodding, sitting back down. I rush after Del.
Delilah's POV
I found myself crying on a cliff that lets me see the sacred lake. All of a sudden, I hear light footsteps coming closer. I quickly wipe my tear off my face before the person sits down next to me. In the corner of my eyes, I recognize the man as my older brother, Loki. I ignore him and keep my gaze on the rocky floor.
