Takes place during Thor WARNING: LOTS OF TIME SKIPS

Melody's POV

I watch as Thor walks down the isle. Every subject is cheering. Besides me. I could clearly see Loki from where I stand, at the front end. The sound of the annoying cheers were deafening. I just wanted the disaster to kick in soon. Thor danced his way to Odin. Everyone on the steps rolled their eyes at Thor.

Thor kneels in front of his father, a huge smile on his stupid face. Odin banged his stick, silencing the whole area in two seconds. "Thor Odinson, my heir." Odin started. I glanced at Loki for a moment. My heart breaks for him. His eyes were casted down, jew clenching. "My first born. So long entrusted with the mighty hammer Mjolnir. Forged in the heart of a dying star. Its power has no equal. It's a weapon to destroy, or a tool to build. It's a fit companion for a king." Ugh, king. Thor is not fit to be one. I roll my eyes as loudly as I can.

Odin was almost done with his long speech, so close for Thor to be king. He stopped. He looks like he was sensing something. I carefully smirk to myself.

Now, I physically wasn't apart of help the Frost Giants get in. Loki just told me.

"Frost Giants." Odin whispered. Everyone gasped. Odin banged his stick on the ground once more. Thor, Odin, and Loki rushed off to the weapons vault.

Everyone had cleared of the ceremony. I was on my way back to Loki's chambers when I spotted him. He runs to me. "What happened?" I ask. He chuckles.

"It worked, darling. Thor isn't king. Better yet, he and father got into a fight. Sadly, the Destroyer killed them before they could even go out the door." Loki explained. I smiled. That's when we heard someone roar and a loud bang. Followed by some clattering. "That oaf!" Loki scolds. He pecks. "I must go deal with him. Go to our chambers and wait for me there." He commands. I nod with he runs off.

I sigh and trudge to our chambers. I need to get this uncomfortable dress off.

I was sitting on the bed reading when Loki bursted in, frantic and angry. "THAT STUPID, STUPID FOOL!" He yelled as soon as he closed the door. I drop my book, jump off the bed, and walk towards him. I grab him by the biceps as he heaves his chest up and down. I peck his cheek, knowing my touch calms him. It did exactly that.

"My king, calm down. What happened?" I ask, leading Loki to sit on the bed.

"Thor wants to go to Jotunheim to get answers! He's bringing his childish friends with him. He also wants me and you to go. Knowing him, he's going to pick a fight and get us all killed!" He answer. I flinch from his yelling. I rub his shoulder. Loki thinks for a moment, before shaking his head. "No. I'm not going. I'm just going to leave them there to die. That will ensure Odin to make me king." He concluded. I gasp.

"Loki! No! As stupid, gullible, selfish as he might be, he's still your brother! Family! You must go to protect him! I'll come with you. Then, Odin can see that your are the rightful ruler." I argue, kneeling in front of Loki. He looks down at me before sighing.

"No, you're not coming with us. I can't risk getting you killed or even hurt. You mean too much to me. But, fine. I guess I'll go." He mumbled before picking me up and set me on his lap. "You always bring out the good in me." He says before giving me a long, passionate kiss.

That night, Loki came in, on the brink of tears. He look traumatized. "L...Loki?" I call. Emotionless, he comes and lays down, putting his head in my lap. I run my fingers through his hair.
