Uncle Bruce - B.B

Delaney's POV

I missed my uncle a lot. We barely talk ever since he got recruited to the Avengers. I sighed out of tiredness but still put on a fake smile while walking out of my work place. 

I started driving to my uncle's favorite restaurant to pick up some food. I know he will be mad at me for barging in, but he won't say no to food. 

After getting the food and at the Avenger's tower

I walked into the building to be greeted by a voice, but no person to it. "Hello. I am FRIDAY. The A.I that controls this tower. Please state your name and business here." She commanded. I hesitated with shock at first. 

"Um. I'm Delaney Banner. I just wanted to say hi to my uncle and drop off some food for him." I say to no one. 

"Alright. Do you have an I.D?" FRIDAY asked. I nodded. 

"Uh, yes." I answered. All of a sudden a scanner popped out of the ground. 

"Please put it under the scanner." I walked up to it and put my driver's license under the scanner. The usual red light moved across it before turning off. "Please get in the elevator located to your right and I will take you to Dr. Banner." I heard doors opened and walked through them. 

The elevator tuned by itself and everything. I waited patiently until the doors opened to reveal a room right across the hall. It looked like a lab. All the walls were glass. I walked out of the elevator and immediately found the door. I close to it and it opened by itself. I walked in. "Mr. Stark, this is Delaney Banner." FRIDAY announced me. Two men turned around to face me. 

My uncle and Iron man. 

Both of their faces were shocked for different reasons. My uncle looked scared. Tony Stark looked surprised. "Um. Who are you?" Tony asked harshly. I opened my mouth to speak but was cut off by my uncle. 

"Tony! This is my niece Delaney." Uncle Bruce said for me. I nod with a shy smile. Tony looked at me up and down. "What are you doing here?" Uncle Bruce said in a scolding way, walking towards me. 

We both hugged and he kissed my cheek.  "I came to give you food and just say hi. Its been a while since I last saw you." I say in a small voice, holding up the food. He smiles and shakes his head.

 "You know I can't be mad at you when you brought me my favorite." He says with a smile. I smile too. Our small interrupted by Tony. 

"Um. I'm sorry. I'm lost. niece?" He said, walking closer. 

"I have a niece, Tony. What do you not get about that?" Uncle Bruce says in an annoyed tone. He also put his hand on my back as Tony continued eyeing me. I forgot I wore my shorts today because it was hot at work and I wasn't working with any big carnivores. 

"What I don't get is, you never told me you had a niece!" Tony explained angrily. All of a sudden a man sped in faster than sound. He leaned against the doorway and eyed me with a smirk. 

"Aye. Hello there. I'm Pietro. Are you a new Avenger?" He asks smoothly. I shake my head no. He looked at me up and down also. I felt really uncomfortable. 

"Pietro, go flirt with someone else. I'm dealing with something here." Tony shooed him out. But Pietro didn't move. 

"Come on Del, I have a place we can catch up in private."  Uncle bruce said. 

Uncle bruce gently guided me out of the room and down to the hall to another room. It looked like a break room. We settled down and started eating. 

"Look, I'm sorry for not trying to meet up or anything. Its just been really busy too." He apologized.

"Its fine, uncle bruce. I've been busy myself too." I say. 

"You still a model?" He asked. I tensed up. I used to be a model before I was a zoo keeper.

"Um, no. That's why I've been busy to..." I mumbled, Staring at me food. Uncle bruce grabbed my hand over the table. 

"Honey, you can tell me anything." He said sweetly. I looked up at him before starting my sad story. 

"I was, um, doing a Photo shoot for a company that made athletic wear for only women. I was there with a couple of more women. The designers were all women too. But the camera crew were mostly men. They had the time of their lives around all of us. 

"It was when I was going to change into the next outfit. Everything was fine up until that point. One of the camera men had decided to hand me my next outfit. But, instead of doing that, he started to touch me all over. I tried calling for help but he put his lips on mine. He started to take off my clothes. It wasn't until two other models came in a shoved him off of me. 

"I filed attempted rape on him. His attorney put up a good fight until we switched to judge Judy. Man, did she tore into him. I won and got a restraining order on him and 1 million dollars. I quit that job for the time being. I'm a zoo keeper now. Manager, to be specific. Animals are so much better than men." I explain, laughing at the end with tears falling out of my eyes. 

Uncle Bruce grabbed his chair and sat right next to me, pulling me in for a hug. I hugged him like my life depended on it. Uncle Bruce rubbed my soothingly. "Delaney. You should have  called. I would've helped you through everything." He said, I could see his skin turning green. I knew about the Hulk and I wasn't scared. I just buried my face into his neck. 

"I'm an adult now, Uncle bruce. I'm not a little girl anymore. I handled it myself." I say, still in his arms. He squeezes me harder.

"That doesn't matter. No one should go through that alone. Especially a single woman. You..are still...single...right?" He asked, pulling. I chuckled and nodded.  

"Yes. Are you?" I ask smugly. He looks around the room and hesitates answering. 

"Uhh. Well, there might be one person.." He trails off. I smile.

"Tell me about her!" I push on. He sighs and chuckles.

"Her name is Natasha. She is a very strong woman an is an avenger. The black widow." He explained. I smiled. I've heard amazing stories about her. 

"That's cool." Was all I could get out before another voice intervened.

"Why didn't you ever tell us you had a niece!?" Tony. Uncle Bruce and I turned around.

"Because I wanted to protect her from everything." Uncle Bruce growls. 

"Well, I looked you up. Model to zoo keeper. Thats a new one." Tony says.
