Handler - B.B PT.2

Bucky's POV

"We got a new mission." Fury announced. We all stood attentive. I noticed he had a file in his hand. But, when does he not? "It's liberating another HYDRA base. Here in America. Not far, actually." He explained. Steve immediately glances at me. I nod at him. Steve turns back to Fury. 

"I suggest we suit up now. This mission shouldn't take that long." Fury commanded. We all nodded and suited up. 

At the Base

I hid behind a tree readying my gun. "Squad Charlie. Position." Steve commanded through our coms. I glance at Wanda who nodded at me. 

"Squad Charlie here. 100 yards far from east wing. Looking alive." I answer. 

"Good. Everyone, on my count. We go in quiet and stealthy. Knock out attacks. In and out." Tony said. Wanda and I nodded. "Go." 

I ran as quietly as I could to bend down behind a bush. I look through the scope of my gun, my metal finger grazing the trigger. I look to see if I can find any agents. I spot two, talking and slacking. I'm not surprised. I roll my eyes at the sight of them. I then notice Wanda is on the roof, right above the men. I give her a thumbs up and she returns it. 

I watch as Wanda uses her magic to snap their heads. I smirk. She hops down from the roof and we meet up at the back door. 

"Ready?" I ask. She emits red dust from her hands and nod. I kick the door down. Luckily, no one was in the hallway. But someone was bound to hear the crash. Wanda leads me in, hands up. "Two down." I whisper to my com. 

We were almost done. Just two more rooms to go. Squad Alpha and Bravo got the other room. Wanda and I got this one. It had a sign that said 'Engineering room'. Without thinking, I bust the door down with my metal fist. There was only one person in that room. A woman. She was hovered a table before she turned around to see us. 

Her eyes were wide with fear, jaw on the floor. Whole body shaking. Before I could even raise my gun, I froze too. Her face seemed so familiar to me. Wanda didn't hesitate. She sent an energy ball toward the woman's head. Luckily her fast reflexes kicked in and the woman ducked. "WAIT!" I scream, holding my arm out across her chest. Wanda looked startled and scared. The woman slowly stood back up, eye locked into mine. It was silent besides the woman's whimpering. 

"Just kill me." The woman said in a cracking voice, unsure of herself. I tried so hard to remember who she was. 

Her. 

"K-Kiki?" I call, shocked. Her eyes widened more. 

"W-Winter Soldier. You rem-member me." Kiki said with a hint of a smile on her face. I cringed at the name. 

"It's Bucky, now." I corrected. Kiki smiled, running up and jumping into my arms. I wrap my arms around her, holding on tight. Her arms draped over my neck, kissing my cheek lingeringly. I missed her kisses so much. Wanda just stood there confused. 

"Guys. Things are getting weird up here." Wanda whispered into her com. I didn't care. I was so happy to have Kiki back. Tears pricked my eyes, threatening to spill over. I could hear Kiki sobbing into my shoulder. I kissed her temple back. 

We pulled back but I still kept my arms on her biceps. We stare at each other. Kiki had dark bags under her eyes, pale skin. Her whole body was extremely skinny, hair was thin. Nothing like the Kiki I remember. The Kiki I remember was well rested, beautiful tan skin from being in the sun a lot, she had muscle and her hair was thick and soft. A great pillow when hugging her. Kiki raises her hand to rub her thumb cross my cheek. "God, you haven't aged a day." She mumbled with a chuckle. I chuckle too.
