Birthday Vacation

Kiki's POV

I looked at Bucky with an odd expression. "You want to what? Now?" I ask, hoping I misheard him. 

"Visit your family. I know how much you miss them and I don't want to be a bad guy and keep you from them. Plus, we need a vacation from the Avengers. Plus, I over heard you and your mom talking, its almost her birthday. I'm sure she would love to have both of her daughters there." He explained. I shake my head out of confusion. 

"Babe, you don't get it. My family is crazy. Trust me when I say you would rather spend time with the Avengers than them. Yes, my mom would love to have both of her kids there. That's why I was thinking of going there by myself. I just don't them to scare you off. I'm not thinking that we need to split. I just thought...you could finally have some time with Steve." I argue. Bucky rolls his eyes. 

"I don't care what your family is like. When was the last time you saw them before we went there so I could meet them? Before you joined SHIELD, right? I always spend time with Steve also, on missions and at meals. If you don't want me there that's fine..." He trailed of teasingly knowing I was going to defend myself in an awkward way. 

"Wait a second, nononono! I would love to have you there, but I don't want them to overwhelm you. You know what? Fine, you win. I'm not arguing with you. We're going." I say defeated. Bucky smiles slyly and kisses my cheek. 

"I'll pack my bags." He whispers in my ear. I roll my eyes and push him off me with a laugh. 

Time Skip

"So, uh, when is exactly your mom's birthday?" Bucky asks, concentrating on the road. I look up from my phone and uncurled myself from the ball like position I was in. 

"Tomorrow." I answer. He nods. 

"How old is she turning?"

"Uh." I say out loud. Shit. Do I add the 28 or not? "45." I finally answer. Bucky gives me a suspicious look, but nods anyway. I curl up against the door and watch as we passed trees. 

"Your Dad liked me last time, right?" 

"He didn't hold his sword to your neck, so yes." 

"Sword?" 

Time Skip

"Babe, we're here." Bucky whispers, shaking me awake. Even though I was already awake and just wanted to rest my eyes. 

"Okay." I say, yawning. I uncurled my self and opened the door, stretching my muscles. Bucky and I walk to my mom's apartment. 

"Kiki! Bucky! So nice to see you again!" Mom said, hugging both of us. We smile. We fully walk into the apartment and I go and hug Emma while my dad and Bucky shake hands. We pull away. 

"Happy early birthday, Mom!" I say. I stand next to Bucky and hook our arms. 

"Yeah, happy birthday Ms. Blanchard." Bucky adds. Mom smiles. 

"Kiki, Emma. You don't know how long my birthday wish has been for both of my daughters to be here with me on my birthday. Ever since Kiki left the nest. Now it's finally come true." Mom said, wiping her fake tears. I laughed and rolled my eyes. 

"Mom, I left this next even before you got it." I comments. 

"She means the nest of Storybrooke." Regina corrects. I nod. 

"I'm sorry for stealing her away from you guys." Bucky apologizes, rubbing my shoulder. 

"How about dinner at Granny's? Everyone's on me!" Regina announces.
