Maggie's POV

Everyone is born with a black area somewhere on their body. This indicates where your soulmate will touch you first. Some people have black fingers, black spots on their arms. Sadly, some people have them on their cheek. Luckily, these spots disappear when they touch you. I'm the odd one out. My spot is covered my whole back. As if my soulmate will Put their arm on my back. I'm scared for that day to come. What will their motivation be to put their arm on my back?

Right now, I was walking in the park with my husky, Silver. I heard a loud crash, followed by a boom. People started screaming and running for their lives. Silver went crazy. I tried to calm him down while trying to find a place to hide. What was happening!? I all of a sudden felt an arm on my back that pushed me on towards a pizzeria. I yelped and turned to see a handsome man with gray curly hair with glasses. "Come on! Let's get you somewhere safe!" He called. We both ran faster. Silver ran int before us and found a place in a far corner. The man flipped a table so that it was on its side, the top protecting us from god knows what.

"Thank you." I say, out of breath. The man sits next to me and nods his head.

"You're welcome." He answers before pulling out his phone and texting someone. That's when it hits me. Where he touched me. Right where my spot was. He was my soulmate! It was him because Silver didn't bark at him. He barks at everyone. "My friends are coming to help me. Please stay here, I would hate for you to get hurt." The man says, looking me straight in the eye.

"I will." I say, subconsciously putting a hand on his shoulder. He stares at my hand, so I draw it off of him. He stares at me.

"You're her."

"And you're him." I respond, flashing him a small, shy smile. He flashes one back. But quickly disappears and is replaced with fear.

"Please, stay here. I know I just met you, but I don't want to lose you since you're my soulmate." He explains. I nod while he runs away. I sigh. Hopefully he doesn't get hurt. Silver whimpers and lays his head in my lap. I softly stroke his head, waiting for the handsome man to return.

Time Skip

It had been a couple of hours since my soulmate left. I had lost all hope that he was coming back. He probably thought I was too ugly and just left me. I closed my eyes and stopped petting Silver to rest.

"Hey, you awake?" The familiar voice made me shoot up to find the man again. I smile. He looked dirty and distraught. I stand up and so does Silver. "Are you okay?" He asked, inspecting me for any damage. I chuckle. He cares.

"I'm fine. My name is Maggie, by the way. Maggie Grant." I introduce. The man smiles.

"Bruce. Bruce Banner. And who is this?" He asks, squatting down to pet Silver.

"Silver the husky." I answer. Bruce stands back up and there is an awkward silence for a few seconds before it was broken.

"Bruce! Stop flirting with the pretty lady and get your big, green butt back here!" A man in the distance said. It looked like the man was wearing red and gold. Bruce groans.

"Sorry about him." Bruce apologizes. I chuckle and wave it off.

"Its fine. I know how good friends could be." I say. We walk out of the now damaged restaurant to see the freaking Avengers stand around! Silver starts barking and trying to lunge at Thor. I hold him back. "Sorry about him. He's over protective. I promise he doesn't bite at the moment." I apologize. Thor waves it off with a smile.

"Sooo, who's your girlfriend?" Black Widow teases. Bruce laughs nervously and so do I.

"Um. She's my soulmate." Bruce answers. Everyone gasps.

"I'm already planning your date." Tony announces. Bruce puts a hand on my back and guides me away from them.

"So, uh, that might've been a bit overwhelming. Again, I apologize." he says. I smile.

"Its fine. I just can't believe that my soulmate is the one and only Dr. Bruce Banner. A man who made a scientific break through in gamma radiation. Your experimenting helped thousands." I compliment. Bruce stares at me with amazement. "Is something wrong?" I ask, worried I scared him away.

"No! No, nothings wrong. Its just...I never had anyone recognise me because of my experiments. They always say 'Hey! You're the Hulk!'" He explains. I nod in understanding.

"Yeah, my friend is a big science geek. So, she reads all your stuff. I think its cool how you use him for good. Instead of just keeping cooped up all the time inside." I add. He smiles.

"Hey, uh, did you want to get coffee sometime? At a place that isn't destroyed? Because I'm pretty sure, whatever Tony had planned, was at a really fancy place." Bruce asked, getting all red and embarrassed.  I peck his dust covered cheek.

"I would love to."
