Betting on Her - All

Sam's POV

All the Avengers were in the living room making a bet. Well, not all of us. Juniper was the only one left out. The bet was....who could go out with her first.

"I bet...50 dollars I can get her to go out with me first. After all, I was a ladies man back in the 40s." Bucky brags. I roll my eyes with an amused smile.

"Nah, she seems like she would like silent and strong. I bet 35 on Steve." Nat argues. Steve smirks.

"Well, she loves reading. I'm betting 37 on Loki." Shuri announced. "Loki! Want to join?" She calls. Loki, who was reading, sat on the farthest sofa. He glares at us.

"I do not wish to partake in the stupid midgardian game that bets money on girls. A woman's heart is not to be messed with." He lectures before going back to his book.

"Relax, Loki! It's only a bit of fun." Thor defended with a chuckle. Loki rolls his eyes.

"I think she would totally go out with me if I was single." Clint sates. I scoff.

"You wish." I mumble. "I'm betting 42 bucks on myself." I say, adjusting in my seat. Everyone chuckles.

This went on for a while. Stark had bet 100 dollars on himself, but 50 on Steve too.

10 Days Later
Juniper's POV

I have not idea what's going on. Every guy in the tower is being super nice to me. I don't like it. Am I going to die soon? But, this morning was extra weird.

Sam and Tony both came speeding up to me. I thought they were going to crash into me so I braced myself. "JUNIPER I HAVE A QUESTION TO ASK YOU!!" They both yelled at the same time. I winced at their loud voices.

"Me first!" Tony shouted.

"No! ME first!" Sam argued, shoving Tony. This caused a shoving battle. I sigh and pull them apart.

"Guys! Chill! Sam, what do you have to ask?" I questioned. Tony pouts.

"Would you like to go on a date with me?" He asked with a wide smile.

"Or me?" Tony added, pushing Sam behind him. Sam growls and pushes forward.

"Um." I mumble. How do I let them down easy. I nervously chuckle. "Hehe. Uh, look you two are very sweet..." I trail off. Both of their faces fell. "I don't think I'm the girl for either of you." I add. They both nodded and walked away. Well, Sam did. Tony stayed.

"If you ever change your mind, you know where to find me." He says, winking. Sam turns around as soon as he ears that.

"My offer is always open too!" Sam calls. I give them both a thumbs up before walking away.

Loki's POV

I watched as each and every Avenger has flirted with Juniper the few few days. I really wish I could tell her, but I want to see the pain they have caused her after she makes her decision. Luckily, I shall be right by her side to comfort her. To protect her heart from these fools. I shall be the shoulder she cries on, her pillow she sleeps on, the arm that rubs her back while she sobs. I shall do this out of love. Not to woo her. She is like a sister to me in the short time I have been here.

Juniper's POV

After breakfast, Pietro was the one to walk up to me. "Hey, princessa. I was wondering if you would like to grab dinner with me tonight." He offers, sitting on the counter. I bit my lip.

"Sorry, Pietro. I already had plans to meet up with some friends." I say, wincing to myself. Pietro turns to gaze to his feet sadly.

"Alright. Maybe next time?" He asks, still looking at his feet.
