You're ok

Head canon: you're prone to panic attacks, and it reeeally doesn't help you get sleep paralysis.

Fear. Fear was all you felt.

Those glowing eyes just starred at you, you couldn't move, you couldn't speak, your heart was racing, you wanted to scream but you couldn't. Just when you thought your sleep paralysis was going away, you had to get it again. A million thoughts ran through your head, mentally screaming, trying as hard as you can to move.

That creature was just getting closer, you could feel tears start to fall down your cheeks but couldn't do anything about it, you were so scared. It got closer and closer, you were starting to really freak out now.

You suddenly felt a weight on your chest, the shadow you could see was sitting on top of you, staring down at you, face to face.

You just wanted it to be over. You never wanted to fall asleep again. Just wake up, you just had to wake up.

Suddenly, due to the intensity of your fear, your body woke up. As you did all the built up fear and attempts to scream was finally released. You screamed at the stop of your lungs and sat up, curling up into a ball and sobbing uncontrollably. The creature was gone but it triggered a panic attack. You can were hyperventilating and choking on your breath, screaming in sorrow.

Suddenly the door slammed open, the noise startling you and making you scream again, hiding your head in your knees.

"It's just me, don't worry"

It was L, probably responding to your scream. You felt him bring you into his arms and gently rub your back.

"You're ok, you're ok..."

You struggled to calm down, everything feeling surreal.

You felt L's grip on you tighten, pushing your head against his chest, keeping you as close as he could to make you feel safer.

"It's not real, ok? It's all in your head" he said.

You started to calm down a little, his running on your back soothing you.

"Clam down, I'm here"

Your breathing steadied, enough for you to lift your head up and grip onto L's shirt to pull him closer.

"You're safe with me, you're safe"

You shifted in his arms and wrapped your arms around him, burying your face into his shirt, letting the tears soak through. You held onto him for dear life, craving the feeling of safety he radiated while in his arms.

You managed to calm yourself down, the tears wouldn't stop but the fear was draining away and you were breathing normally again.

"Sleep paralysis again?" He asked.

You nodded.

"That creature just stares at me and sits on me a-and stares at me... it's the most fear I'll ever feel in my life..." you replied.

"Maybe you should wear a sleeping mask? That way when you wake up in paralysis, you can't see any demons"

"What if I get scared because I think I'm blind?"

"Hmm... didn't thing about that"

He looked down at you and bought a hand up to your cheek, giving you a reassuring smile.

"It's not real though, nothings going to hurt you" he said.

"I know... but it's still scary..."

"Do you want me to sleep with you from now on?"

You nodded, smiling up at him.

"Ok, just let me turn off all the computers"

He placed a kiss on your forehead and got up to go turn everything off. When he came back, he crawled under the blankets with you and pulled you into his arms.

"Is late, try and get back to sleep, if any demons come to haunt you I'll be here to fight them off" he said.

"Thank you... I love you L"

"I love you too"
