Cheated part 1

L's father cheated on his mother and manger to get custody of L. Leaving the mother behind and taking her child to start a new life with another woman. The new girl didn't like L bc he wasn't her child and ended up convincing his father that he was a mistake and they both ended up not liking L (possibly abusing him) and L was eventually abandoned.

All his life, L had always said he hated his parents. They left him to die on the streets in the snow, they caused him to have many mental illnesses from the abuse and abandonment. But that didn't mean he wanted closure. He wanted to at least know who his parents were, and why they left him. He never wanted to talk to them or see them, just know why.

And it had all become so clear when he managed to track them down. Well... kind of.

Being the worlds greatest detective means you have records on anyone and everyone, the worlds justice system is basically in the palm of your hand. After years and years of looking, he found them.

His father and mother had been living under fake names to escape child abuse charges for 16 years... that's why no one ever found them. Except, his mother wasn't his mother.

His father is under record to be married to a girl that looks absolutely nothing like him. The was no resemblance between this woman and L.

She was blonde, he had black hair. She was naturally tanned, he was really pale. They had different eye shapes and colours.

L was part British and park Japanese, this girl didn't have a trace of either of those in her blood. But what really nailed the coffin closed was the record of his fathers last marriage.

L has seen all the court documents. He knew the full story now. He finally understood why they left him.

"Hey, you ok? You've been quiet today"

He jumped, turning to see you standing in the doorway with a thermos of coffee in your hands. He sighed, getting up and walking over to you. Without a word he wrapped his arms around you and buried his head into your shirt.

"Hey, what's wrong?" You asked, wrapping your free arms around him.

"I get it now... I know why I was orphaned..."

"Woah hold up! You found your parents?"

He pulled back from the hug and nodded, grabbing your free hand and pulling you over to the computer.

You took a look at the pictures on the screen. You could definitely see the resemblance between L and his dad, but his mother...

"She looks... nothing like you" you said.

"She's not my mother... she's my step-mother"

"Step mother?"

"It turns out, my dad cheated on my mum, he managed to get custody of me, unfairly I'll add. He started dating the other girl. They have many counts of child abuse on their records. Even though I barely remember them, I definitely remember the abuse, I have the scars to prove it. I'm guessing this new girl hated me because I wasn't her child, and my dad didn't like me because I was the child of his ex-wife. They left the country under fake names the day they left me to escape the charges. But this..."

He pulled up a second record, with a picture of a different woman. Now she looked like L, a lot.

"This is my birth mother"

She had thick black hair, was a British citizen but was Japanese by blood, she even had the same eyebags too. It seems L's British DNA came from his father and Japanese from his mother. His mother still lives in England, but his father and new wife were currently in Spain.
