How to: make L's cake

OK WEEBS.

I've made a discovery! The recipe for L's strawberry shortcake!

"But Audrey, couldn't you just make any old strawberry shortcake?"

PFFFTTT NO.

This is L were talking about, he likes his food sickeningly sweet. So I've taken a normal recipe and L-ified it. L is shown eating cake with strawberries a lot, and it always looks fancy and really appetising, and because this is L, it's packed with sugar.

It was said that strawberry is his favourite flavour too, so the more strawberries you add the better!

((This is actually gonna be my bday cake at the end of the month lol, and I'll probably make it on L's birthday too))

So here's what you'll need to make L's strawberry shortcake.

Ingredients:

•2 cups plain flour
•1 tablespoon baking powder
•1/4 cup caster sugar ((if you want to do the L version, make it 1/2 a cup))
•125g unsalted butter, chilled and chopped
•1 egg
•2/3 cup pure cream
•1/2 x 300ml tub double cream ((for L version, you could switch this to whipped cream with vanilla extract))
•250g strawberries, sliced
•Icing sugar mixture, for dusting

How to make it:

•Preheat oven to 200°C/180°C fan-forced. Grease and line base of a round cake pan with baking paper.

•Sift flour and baking powder into a large bowl.

•Add sugar.

•Using your fingertips, rub butter into flour until mixture resembles breadcrumbs.

•Whisk egg and pure cream in a jug.

•Add egg mixture to flour mixture.

•Mix with a butter knife until a soft dough forms. Kind of like cookie dough but softer.

•Place dough in the pan.

•Using your hands, press evenly over base of pan.

•Bake for 15 to 20 minutes or until it goes golden.

•Cool it in pan for 5 minutes. Turn out onto a wire rack to cool.

•Using a knife, cut shortcake in half crossways.

•Spread double cream or whipped cream ((you can mix in vanilla extract if you want to to be super sweet)) over cut-side of base.

•Top with strawberry slices.

•Sandwich with shortcake top.

•Dust with icing sugar ((make sure to add lots, this is an L came after all))

•optional, but you can add more strawberries to the top or chocolate chips.

•and you're done, an L style strawberry shortcake!

And that my friends is how you make an L style strawberry shortcake. I've tried this before and it's pretty damn sweet when you add all the L style perks to it but it's real fucking good. I see why he always eats it now.

One last thing I'll mention, it's kind of off topic but I've updated my L ita bag.

It now has a backboard! The pins don't weigh the fabric down anymore. I also rearranged all the lights on it too.

I also added a lollipop too the bow. It's actually an eraser lol.

And there's a strawberry macaroon and strawberry milk charms because of his love for strawberry!

I'm so extra for this boy I swear.
