Let it Snow

I heard it, I heard those stupid words. I was waking up because I heard Finns voice, and then he said it. He freaking said those three little despicable words and I decided to pretend to fall back asleep because damn it. I do love him very very much but we can't do this. Not like this. Now I have no idea what's gonna happen and I just want to go home but I have to pretend I didn't hear a thing.

One hour later
"Is it snowing?" I officially wake up, only to see the white dust everywhere

"Yeah it started up about half an hour ago, looks like we made it on time" Finn grinned

"We're here," I sit up

The house looks so beautiful. The lights are all up and the snow falling make it feel all the more like Christmas. Clearly they go all out because there's giant reindeer figures on the lawn and everything is bright and festive.

"Oh finny!"

I turn to the middle and see Finns mom rushing to hug him through the snow. Finn just chuckles and sets the bags down. I smile and grab it and walk towards them rushing to each other. When I reach them they're already hugging each other.

"How come you never come home? It's been so long Finn" she tells him

"I'm sorry mom I've just been really busy, with the movie and-"

"Your girl" she grins and faces me "excuse my behavior but I just haven't seen Finn home in six years!" She said

"Oh it's not trouble at all, I'm glad to see you both so happy" I assure her

"Oh Finn! Why didn't you bring her around sooner, she's so nice and beautiful" she says while hugging me tight

I did not expect to be hugged so soon and so tight so I let go of the luggage and hug her back and it feels so nice. I just feel extremely guilty now. About everything.

"Okay mom, try not to suffocate her" Finn chuckled

She pulled away quickly with a look of shock

"Oh I am the worst! Come inside, it's freezing out here, Finn be a gentleman and get your stuff from the car, I'll send Burt out but Rachel and I are going to go drink some hot coco" Finns mom declares

She wraps her arm through mine and we both walk into Finns house as the snow starts to fall again,

"Seriously" I hear Finn mumble as he walks back

I glance back and giggle a little bit,

"I really should go help Finn and wait for your hot coco, it's his favorite drink this time of year I would-"

"Oh nonsense Rachel! He'll live a few seconds without it, plus I want to get to know the woman who managed to get my son back home after all these years, especially-hold on one second-" she paused and turned towards the stairs "BURT go help Finn take out the luggage- " then she turned back to me "especially since none of his past girlfriends could ever do it" she smiles at me

I don't know what to say or answer, especially because of what I just heard in the car from Finn and now my brain is all scrambled,

"I'm going, I'm going" I hear coming from upstairs

Thank god,

"Burt this is Rachel, she's Finns girlfriend, isn't she beautiful?" Finns mom squeals

I chuckle a little bit nervous

"Oh so you're the one that's got him all crazy in love," Burt greets me

We shake hands as Finn stumbles in covered in snow. I let go abruptly to help him grab some bags and wipe the snow off.

"What'd I miss" he chuckles at me

I smiled and continue helping him as Burt walks out to get the rest. I turn back to see Carole smiling so wide,

"Nothing, come get some hot coco sweetie" Carole smiles

Finn grabs my hand and I look up to see him grinning towards the kitchen. He didn't even notice and normally I would kick him or squeeze his hand to cut the act but I don't think either of us is acting anymore and I'm terrified.
