Jay's P.O.V:

Two Weeks Later...

Jess has cried everyday for the past two weeks. She refuses to go to work and hasn't left our bed. She's lost probably close to 20 pounds and is starting to get unhealthy. She won't even really play with Isabella. She is so shaken up about this whole baby thing. Today after work I picked up Isabella and we picked up Chinese food.

"Babe I'm home," I yell into the apartment.

"I'm on the couch," Jess yells back.

I put the Chinese on the counter and walk into the other room. Jess is sitting on the couch watching TV.

"You feeling better today?" I ask.

"She shrugs. The pain still comes and goes. I really miss our baby," She sighs.

I sit down next to her and kiss her temple.

"I know it hurts but you still have us so please come back to work. Everyone misses you," I reply.

"Maybe next week," She shrugs.

"Do you just want to be a stay at home mom?" I ask.

She looks at me confused, "Stay home?"

"Yeah why not? I make a decent amount of money and I get some from the Army," I say.

"No, I like working," She replies.

"Okay sweetie," I kiss her forehead. "I'm going to put Isabella to bed."

I grab Isabella out of her carseat and start walking to her room.

"Jay?" Jess says.

"Yeah? Everything okay?" I turn to face her.

"I wanna take her," She smiles.

I hand her over to Jess and watch them go into Isabella's room. I smile thinking about how that was Jess' first smile since this whole situation. Maybe she will finally go back to work soon. When she comes out we go to the table to eat dinner.

"Want a drink?" I ask. "I'm going to grab a beer."

"Can you grab me one too?" She questions.

"Sure baby," I smile and grab the two beers.

After dinner we both get into our pajamas. As I watch Jess get changed I can see she has a little scar from where she got shot. I frown a little. She then climbs in bed with me. I put my arms around her and pull her closer.

"Jay?" She says quietly.

"Yeah?" I question.

"I think I want to go back to work tomorrow," She says.

"Are you sure you're ready?" I ask. "You don't have to go."

"I am, it will be good for me to go back," She replies.

"If that's what you want then that's fine baby. It will be nice to have you back," I kiss her forehead.

The Next Day...

I got up early and made coffee for both of us then hopped in the shower. When I finally got up Jay was awake.

"You're up early?" He smiles.

"Gotta make sure I'm ready for work," I shrug.

About an hour later we get all our stuff together and head off to work. Since I haven't really done much I go inside to drop Isabella off at daycare. When I get back into the car Jay just smiles at me and puts his hand on my leg. Jay parks the car in the back and we both get out. He grabs my waist and I look up at him.

"Yes?" I say.

"I just love you so much and you need to be careful out there. We can't have anything happen again," He replies.

"I know, I will be more careful," I reach up and kiss him. "Let's go inside."

We walk into the building hand in hand and smiling. I was actually happy to be back. Platt see's us and waves us over.

"Hey Platt," I smile.

"It's good to have you back," She smiles and hugs me.

"It's good to be back," I reply.

After we both go upstairs to our desks. When we walk up the stairs Hank is the first person I see. He comes over and hugs me.

"You're back?" He asks.

"Yes I am. I'm happy to be back," I smile.

"You're staying at your desk for the next week," He says.

"But why!" I frown.

"You need to get your head straight and that's final," He demands and walks away.

Next Adam comes up to me and hugs me really tight.

"I'm so glad you're back," He says.

"I'm very happy to be back. Except Hank has me on desk duty," I frown.

"It's for the better," He replies.

After I sat at my desk. I was very happy to be back. Desk duty or not I was happy to be back with my family.
