A Jay Halstead Love Story

Chapter 36

Two Months Later...

Jess' P.O.V:

Today is finally the day I have been waiting for. I get to marry the man of my dreams. I will finally be Jessica Halstead. I smile at the thought of that. I just finished getting my hair and makeup done. I got everyone matching robes so I wanted a picture of all of us in them. The photographer took a lot of photos of us. After all the photos we took a limo to the church where the boys were suppose to meet us. I started getting very nervous. I know I'm marrying the man of my dreams but that's still nerve wracking.

"I don't know if I can do this," I start panicking.

"Jess, calm down. It's just Jay," Cara says.

"It's nothing to worry about. You both love eachother so much. You even already have a kid together. It's nothing to be nervous over. You have known Jay for a while now and nothing is going to change the bond that you two have," Natalie smiles.

"Thank you girls," I hug them both.

Cara is walking Isabella in with Adam. Slowly everyone starts walking in. Finally it's my turn. I take a deep breath and walk into the church. At the end of the isle I see jay standing there in his uniform.

Jay's P.O.V:

Jess walks through the door with the biggest smile on her face. I feel tears starting to go down my face and I wipe them away and smile at her. She is the most beautiful girl in this whole place. When she gets to the altar I grab her hands. I don't look at anyone but her. We decided to write our own vows. When it was finally time I went first.

"Jessica Ruzek, what can I say. You are the best thing that has happened to me. You made me the happiest person that day when I picked you up from the airport. We had a great time and one thing lead to another and here we are now. We didn't exactly do everything in the order it should have happened but I am very grateful that we have a beautiful daughter together. I promise I will protect you and love you for the rest of my life. I love you so much Jess," I wipe the tears off her face and smile.

Jess' P.O.V:

"Not exactly sure how I'm supposed to follow that," I giggle. "Well, here it goes. Honestly when we said we were going to write our vows I had no idea what to say. There is so much to say about you and our relationship that I can't find the right words. I think it was fate for Adam to be pulled out by Al and put into this unit. Without that I would have never met the man of my dreams, my soulmate, and my best friend. I am thankful for the beautiful baby girl we have. I try and also protect you every day especially when we are at work. Isabella needs both of her parents and I think we really need to start being more careful. I love you to the moon and back and I thank god everyday that we found each other. I love you so much Jay and nothing will ever change that," I smile and wipe my tears.

Jay and I go back to holding hands. The ceremony felt like it was going on forever. Finally the priest says his final words.

"I now pronounce you man and wife. You may now kiss the bride," he smiles and closes his book.

I grab Jay's face and kiss him very passionately. He grabs my waist and does the same. For a minute I forget that we are standing in front of our friends and family. We finally pull away and are forehead to forehead. Finally Cara hands Isabella to Jay. The three of us walk together down the aisle as a real family. After cocktail hour it's finally time for our first dance. We decided to pick speechless by Dan and Shay. I wrap my arms around Jay's neck and he grabs my waist. During the song he spins me around a little and then I rest my head on his shoulder. I can hear him singing the words to me and I smile. Overall the party went by pretty quickly. I danced with everyone and had the time of my life. Jay and I decided on Hawaii for our honeymoon. We let Isabella stay with Adam and Cara. I was very nervous leaving Isabella with them because of Adam. Jay kept reassuring me that everything would be fine.
