Chapter 35

Jess' P.O.V:

The day went by very slow. Everyone went out to go investigate a crime but I stayed back to take calls and if they needed me to look something up I was there. By the end of the day everyone was exhausted. Jay and I grabbed pizza on the way home and picked up Isabella. We were happy again. We felt like a real family and I was happy again.

A Few Months Later...

Today was Isabella's first birthday. No one was more excited than Jay. He came out of the bathroom with a towel wrapped around his waist.

"Hello beautiful," He winks.

"Hey handsome," I smile. "Are you planning on getting dressed?"

"Eventually," He chuckles.

"Wear your dress pants and the nice button up please," I smile.

"Anything for you," He smiles.

We both get dressed and start getting everything ready for the party. Adam and Cara should be here in 15 mins to help set everything up. Jay brings Isabella into the kitchen with her pink puffy dress on.

"You are a hot mommy," He winks.

He looks me up and down. I am in a black lace top and a burgundy skater skirt.

A little while later Adam and Cara arrive. Adam plays with Isabella and Cara helps me set up and cook for the party. A little while later everyone finally arrived. I was so happy that everyone could make it. Jay was definitely drinking more than he should have been, but I get it. It was his daughter's first birthday. Everyone was laughing and enjoying themselves and that's what really made me happy. Jay comes over to my and wraps his arms around my waist.

"You throw a great party," He smiles.

"We throw a great party," I correct him.

"Can I make a speech?" He questions.

I laugh, "Sure you can."

"Can I have everyone's attention please," He yells.

Everyone turns and looks at him.

"I just wanted to start off by saying thank you all by coming to Isabella's party. We really appreciate everything that you all have done for us the past year. And we want to say thank you to all of you for always being there," Jay says. "And we love you all."

Adam hands Isabella to me and she look at Jay and I with a big smile.

"Mama," She says.

"Oh my god, did she just say mama?" I question.

She points to me, "Mama."

"She said Mama!" I shout.

She then points to Jay, "Dada."

"Now she said Dada," I cry.

Jay takes her from me, "Hi baby girl, say Dada again."

"Dada Dada Dada," Isabella shouts.

Jay and I were ecstatic that she was starting to talk. I was very happy that she said my name first. After a few hours the party was finally over. I changed out of dress and threw on one of Jay's T-Shirts and took off my makeup. Jay already put Isabella down for bed because she was exhausted after the day she had. I started cleaning up when Jay wrapped his arms around me.

"Today was a really good day," He says.

"Yes it was. Even Isabella said her first words," I smile.

"Next up is our wedding," I smile.

"I can not wait for that to happen," He smiles.

"Me too. Second best day of our lives," I say.

"I think it's time for us to take this to the bedroom," He winks.
