Your POV
Cue shrilling alarm sound.
"Oh come on! " I let out an early morning whine and smack the alarm's snooze button, shutting it off for the entire day. Stretching my limbs, I yawn wearily and relax every bit of my muscles, letting my eyes droop for almost fifteen seconds before rolling off of bed to start the day. I love the smell of a new apartment in the morning.
God bless your soul, Mr. Stark!
I fix the bed and fold the blanket, setting it on top of the pillow before making my way to the bathroom to freshen up. I stare at my reflection in the mirror, trying to process the washed-out girl staring back at me.
I groan in a raspy voice and turn on the faucet, splashing the running water all over my face.
Message from Mr. Anthony Stark, Ms. Y/L/N
Was that the intercom?
Oh jeez, Mr. Stark's left a message. I turn the faucet off and wipe my face with the towel before tossing it into the tub and rushing out of the bathroom to play the message.
"Please play the message." I awkwardly request it to do so. It plays and I listen intently. "Hey kid, big day. Look, we got a mission scheduled ahead ten minutes from now and assuming that Thor told you the 'bad news' and you both agreed on the training schedule which is today, you'll have it at the facility in upstate New York . Don't fret about the distance, Thor can pilot the jet well now. He volunteered to stay behind to help you get settled in since...there might be possible complications, hehe. But anyway, if you wanna let off steam, do it in the training area of the facility
since it's fireproof. I'm just saying since there might be a possibility of you reaching that point. I've told security at the entrance lobby to grant you instant access since you'll be up for some business. Good luck, kid. Go figure." The message ends with a beep and that kind of made my day. I won't let you down, sir. I mean, why would I wanna combust when I expected training to be rigorous? It won't irritate me at all, much less aggravate me. I'm rather excited to get things going. I might have to pack extra clothing since we'll be having it outside of New York.I inhale sharply and head into the kitchen to prepare myself a hearty breakfast.
Later
I tap my foot against the floor of the rising elevator in anticipation, holding the duffel bag that contains extra clothing close to me. I feel iffy bringing this bag along, it almost looks as if I plan on abducting someone in this building. The elevator pings open and I step into the penthouse, expecting Thor to greet me in but it's eerily quiet. Do they ever leave anyone to watch the top floor when they're on the road?
"Hello? Anybody else here? " I call out but I don't get a response. I scratch my chin and prepare to leave for the bottom floor until, "Y/N!""Thor? " I whip my head back and it's about time he's noticed. He engulfs me in a warm embrace and clasps my shoulders. "Glad you're looking eager to start. The alcohol didn't do a number on you, did it? " I chuckle at his question. "No, in fact it made me feel brave."
He responds with another grin and leads me into the a certain hall I've familiarized myself with yesterday. I increase my grip on the handle of my duffel bag and ask. "Where are we going?"
"Before we fly off to the facility, I'd like you to meet my brother. Just so you two could acquaint yourselves before tossing each other's bodies against walls." He sighs at the end and I give him a strange look, not realizing that we've walked into the room where I met...oh no.
We make our way across the steel bridge and stop in front of the glass chamber. My heart beats abnormally and I can feel my mind collapse into madness as I think of the worst Thor's about to say. "Y/N, I'd like you to meet my brother."
